Ted mentions to Mary that his parents would only buy one of each toy and that he & Hal had to compete for it. But in the Episode #78 "Father's Day", we learn that Ted's father abandoned Ted as an infant, so shouldn't Ted have said parent??
Mary: (talking about Hal) I wouldn't want to go out with a guy who was prettier than I.
Rhoda: (looking at an advertisement of Hal in a magazine) That's the first time I've ever seen my date in his underwear before we went out.
Hal: (making a suggestion from the menu) How about Chateaubriand for two?
Rhoda: That's just what I was going to order. What are you going to have?
Rhoda: (after a date with Hal Baxter) I made the mistake of asking him which was his bad side. You know, we looked for it for ten minutes. We couldn't find it. We found mine right away, though. It's the front.
Ted: Minnesota is the land of the midnight sun.
Mary: It is not. It's the land of a thousand lakes and I think I see some now.
This episode was filmed on June 18, 1971.
Ted doesn't seems to think all Jewish people are Israeli. He refers to Rhoda as being Mary's "Isareli friend."
The character of Ted Baxter was created with Jack Cassidy in mind. But having been hurt by the abrupt cancellation of his late sixties sitcom "He & She", Cassidy passed on the role, giving Ted Knight his biggest break.
