  • Lots to Like in This Season Three Finale

    9.0
Full of fun, this season three ender was a great dangler to beckon in the next year. The fact that this episode started out in a car dealership, as opposed to Mary's apartment or the newsroom, was intriguing in itself. Rhoda was supplied with plenty of great lines, Mary showed herself true to character as the loyal friend who couldn't possibly believe something bad about the person she loved, and a very young Craig T. Nelson made an appearance here as a handsome mechanic. Enter Georgette with her whisper-soft humor and add a new venue for Rhoda's career, and kazaam - recipe for a fantastic episode.moreless

    • The "brand new" green Mustang convertible that Mary ogles in the dealer showroom while her own car is being repaired has a dent in the rear quarter panel.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Harry: (to Rhoda, about Mary) She takes care of her car like she takes care of herself. You should take care of your car like…(peers at Rhoda) she takes care of herself.
Rhoda: Why do I have a feeling I'm going to have my body recalled?

    • Charlie: (discussing Rhoda's car) Oh, that car needs a lot of work.
Bob: Yeah, and that candy bar underneath the front seat isn't in such good shape either.
Rhoda: Well, I think most people think of their cars as transportation. I think of mine as a big purse on wheels.

    • Rhoda: (to Mary) You really hate yellow, huh? I should have known. You were always so indifferent to that canary I had.

    • Georgette(giving Lou a potted plant for his office): It's a Prayer Plant. But don't worry, it's non-denominational.
Lou: I'll try not to swear in front of it.
