I was dismayed that Mr. McLaughlin, in a discussion about fostering a healthy inter-racial and multi-ethnic dialog, made a declarative statement that Latinos preferred to associate only with their own kind. McLaughlin's rhetoric is of no particular value when it makes sweeping statements about any group. It becomes, however, provocative when it focuses on a single ethnic group and makes faulty and monolithic assumptions about them. Shame on you McLaughlin!

    Hello, Mr McLughlin!

I was so pleased to hear you straighten out the group when you said that they were mistaken to think aetheists were unspiritualin chucking the concept of a God. Iexpand that, submitting that many esatz-aetheists go so far as not only chuckingGod and religion but alsooftenthrow out spirituality as well, taking that as license to make up their own morals and all kinds of bad behaviors.

Thank you for making that point re aetheism.

    Aloha, Frank Luke
