  • What a way to end the season (if you're watching this on DVD)!!!

    1.0
For the most part, I enjoyed watching Haruhi, but this episode just had no redeeming qualities. We already know that Haruhi is such an a-hole, especially towards Mikuru. That's one thing, but to torture Mikuru emotionally becomes the whole point of this episode. I was glad when Kyon deleted Haruhi's previous pictures of Mikuru posing, much earlier in the season, but this time, Haruhi intends to make them into Easter Eggs for the movie that the SOS Brigade made. Itsuki praises Haruhi for the "idea" (which is understandable, as he knows what will happen if he opposes her), and Yuki just minds her own business reading books.

All the previous episodes at least had a plot. This one doesn't. Kyon picking up a heater? Big deal! That was just a distraction set up by Haruhi to get him out of the way. I also fast-forwarded with the prolonged scenes of Yuki reading and of the random dialogue taking place in the background; I had no problem with those two scenes, but they were kinda pointless. Just skip this episode... or let DVD episode 12 (episode 13, chronologically) wrap things up.moreless
  • Just another day for the SOS brigade

    9.3
Well nothing major happened in this episode.Haruhi manages to get a heater for the clubroom from a shop owner who initially sponsored their movie of Mikiru. Kyon does the errand boy duties of the club of getting the heater. Haruhi takes more pictures of Mikiru in the absence of Kyon for extra bonus material in the movie dvd. Clearly without Kyon in the clubroom, no one opposes the crazy decisions of Haruhi. Also their was lot of background dialogs from various other anime in few of the still scenes. It will sound silly if you haven't watched the other anime.

It was a good thing i am watching the anime in the broadcast order, if you watch the episodes in chronological order then this episode is the final episode. For a final episode it is not exciting as the other episodes.moreless

    • (Haruhi sends Kyon out on an errand)
Haruhi: Now. The obstacle has been dealt with. Mikuru. I want to take a few pictures, so how about you strike a pose.

    • (Kyon notices Mikuru's maid uniform)
Kyon: (In his mind) Hey, wait. Does this mean Asahina was changing right next to me while I asleep? Damn it. Why did I fall asleep? I should have faked it.
