Anyone else wondering about O'Laughlin...at first I thought he was ok...just a rival for Rigsby. But that's ok, otherwise that story would grow old.
But I thought his comment to Van Pelt about her coworkers not being her friends and stimulating her to spy on her own team was kind of strange.
And before, Rigsby asked him to not hurt Grace....his reaction was odd...I mean most people would react like; off course not and be offended that someone could think that. Yet he responds with: or what? still a bit offended but also challenged, which I thought was a rather strange reaction.

In some other topics or reviews I saw that other people were wondering the same thing.
I'd love to hear from other watchers what they think...

He may not be a creep but he's not a good guy either. Grace will find out he's controlling and possessive, the "they're colleges,I'm your friend,I'm the one who has your back" comment just wouldn't come out of a good guy's brain.

Really annoys me that the Grace character hasn't evolved at all, she's naive, insecure and almost crawls under the floor every time she sees the big boss...and everything is expressed in her face.

And don't get me started on Rigsby

TV Guide magazine said that in an upcoming episode, Rigsby catches O'Laughlin doing something "less than honorable"...was he cheating on Grace??? that would certainly make him a creep.

me, personally...i'm still a fan of Rigspelt. i thought they were adorable together.

I agree that they would be adorable together but they would have a weird relationship though. Van Pelt clearly chose her job over Rigsby. Plus, she has some psychological issues tied to her past which we don't know about.

As I watching tonight's episode "The Red Mile" I think Rigsby and Cho noticed O'Laughlin did something out of the ordinary during the gun fight scene. Then later in the episode they were talking about it. I didn't catch what Rigsby said. Did anyone else catch it?

Rigsby told Cho that (in a nutshell), O'Laughlin did a dishonorable thing and didn't help van Pelt in her time of need. He then asked Cho whether or not he should tell van Pelt what happened. Cho said it was his (Rigsby's) call.

You know what's funny, I just read the third comment and O'Laughlin which said he would have her back. I've just watched the last episode, well clearly he doesn't have her back and Rigsby does. I think it's sweet that Rigsby can't tell Grace. However I think(I hope so) he might have a talk with O'Laughlin.

I think that O'Laughlin may be RJ's informant to the CBI, the writers are not going to let O'Laughlin and Grace be together, Rigsby is too liked.

Indeed,he may still not be a creep but he certainly didn't have her back like he foolishly promised.

Loved how Jane took Steiner under his wing in an otherwise rather unremarkable episode...I hope Cho has the courage to open up about his alien encounters some day heheh

Yeah, the Jane/Steiner dynamic was the best of the episode, no doubt. This one turned out to be a bit more serious in nature than I expected (especially that ending) but it still had its more humorous moments.

I think O'Laughlin's non-action during the gun fight was that he predicted that Rigbsy would eventually tell how he acted to Van Pelt, which in return would destroy the trust between them (Rigsby & Van Pelt).

Except he didn't tell. Do you think it's going to come up in a future episode instead? Because I was cheering when he didn't tell-- I could tell it would have been a bad idea for him to do it.

It's quite hard to predict what they planned for O'Laughlin character. Their relationship developed very quickly. Rigsby still couldn't get over it. But I admire the way Rigsby and Cho are acting. They never act or say anything without thinking first (It's not a virtue all "cops" have).

I believe that he won't mention that incident to Van Pelt in the future. It was kind of spur of the moment thing.

I also like the fact that Rigsby talked about it with Cho, he's bothered by the whole ordeal but is not acting impulsively.
    It might come up later.....

I just think it will go wrong anyway for O'Laughlin by the end of the season. I'm just not sure how, even Amanda Righetti mentioned that things will go wrong. Besides Eric Winter is not booked for next season.

So I guess this topic can come to an end now...I was right, at least my gut feeling was right...O'Laughlin was definitely a bad guy, a creep.

He got what he deserved, although it must be hard on Grace shooting him. But that's for next season to see the consequences...speaking of consequences, I'm really curious as to what will happen to Jane...

My reaction when Van Pelt escorted O"Laughlin past the guards to the safehouse was "What? Again? You've gotta be kidding me!" Maybe the show needs some new writers next season since three years in, the current ones are already repeating themselves.

Well, hopefully Van Pelt will show real character development following this. Because, honestly, if she just slips right into the same old patterns following this,t hen her character is irredeemable.

This is the second time someone takes advantage of Van Pelt "romantically" to infiltrate the CBI. She should be fired right away, she's too vulnerable and/or naive.
