The Merry Mailman's Funhouse

Show Summary

The Merry Mailman's Funhouse is a live-action children show developed and hosted by singer and theater actor Ray Heatherton. Seen on WOR-TV from Monday to Saturday, the show was set on a country road and filmed in front of a studio audience. With his fellow comedians, Chic Darrow and Milt Moss, Heatherton taught kids to do magic tricks, puppet skits, arts and crafts, and other hobbies. Songs, stories, and games for children as well as animated segments were also staples of the show. The series was telecast from 1961 to 1963.
