  • The Mick Molloy Show was a train wreck, but what's wrong with that?!

The Mick Molloy Show was a train wreck, but what's wrong with that?! For a Saturday night I thought it was ideal. It was like eavesdropping on a table of lads at a pub, getting drunker and drunker as the night rolls on. Bob Franklin's "How Delightful" segment was a highlight, very very funny. It's a shame that Australian television doesn't give shows enough time to find their feet, especially ones like The Mick Molloy Show that go off the beaten track and take a few risks.
  • The show was quite entertaining, had former Crowded House/Split Enz drummer Paul Hester & the award winning combination of Tony Martin & Mick Molloy

Long live the deceased Paul Hester. He had so much going for him & it is a real shame he chose to end his life so early on.
Paul & his Largest Living Things were the real highlight of the Mick Molloy show. Paul himself adding to the comedy aspect of the show.
Actually I fail to see what was so wrong with this show. It was basically an extension of the Martin/Molloy radio show with an extended cast. No one wanted this radio show to end (expect John Laws & his fan base) so why end this show? I mean 4 episodes? I'm sure it could have gone on a lot longer had Channel 9 given it a chance. Channel 10 did with the Panel & that did fantastically well.
With regular features such as Hessie's Largest Living Things, the How Delightful segment & the cucumber sandwhiches it really was an inderappreciated show.
