I have to say I love this show! I have loved every episode & this one was no different. Having Betty White as a guest star was a genius move. I loved her as the librian (sp?). And I really loved when she whispered into her chest like Brick does...hilarious! I also loved the other story lines. Sue running on her crutches was great, but I really loved when she got "hit by the deer." So funny! It reminded me of the episode of Gilmore Girls when Rory's car got hit by a deer at a stop sign. Axl's storyline was just kinda so so. Been done before a lot. Anyway, my grade is great! Great way to end a great season!moreless

  • Trivia

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Betty White's character tells Brick that he has "until Walt Whitman's birthday" to return the 31 library books he has checked out. Walt Whitman was born on May 31st. When he returns the books, she discovers he still has one remaining book checked out, and gives him "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birthday" to return the last book. Sir Doyle's birthday is May 22nd, which is earlier than Whitman's. A good job using the birthdays of famous literary figure that occur in late May, but they should have been used in reverse order. Edit
    • After going for a run, Sue says "I got hit by a deer!" Her mother says "You hit a deer?" and Sue responds, "No, I got hit by a deer!" This is the exact same dialogue, word-for-word, that was used in a Season 1 episode of the popular television series Gilmore Girls, when 15-year-old Rory Gilmore's car was hit by a deer. Edit

    • Frankie: The truth is, maybe we are just average. But the way I see it, families where parents get up every morning and go to jobs that are hard so they can get their kids through school and through life and struggle to make it all work and manage to do it with dignity and a little humor, well that's not average, that's extraordinary. • Mike comments that Brick's class isn't exactly a "Brain Trust". This could be a reference to Neil Flynn's previous role in Scrubs where he was the Janitor who started the Brain Trust. Edit
