    Another superb episode of The Middle, this show hasn't made an error yet, especially with the Holiday specials, which is why this is such a great family show, and I'm sure this is a show that anyone can enjoy. The Hecks "almost dying" was pretty funny, also all the interactions were fantastic. From the kids wanting to open a present on Christmas Eve to Sue finding out "something" about Brad. I could not stop laughing, when Sue said she caught Brad smoking, it was quite unexpected.

    More people really need to be watching this show, and it's episodes like these that are a great example why. This is clearly the best thing on ABC's comedy block, and the most consisted. Modern Family? Yeah right. This is the show that should have won an Emmy, certainly not Modern Family. Overall, a hilarious holiday special of The Middle.moreless

    There is nothing complicated with The Middle, it's just a good fun half an hour. Frankie and Mike are both played by good solid sitcom actors, Neil Flynn hit the jackpot getting out of Scrubs before the ship sinks and shows a more human less psychotic side as the dad. Patricia Heaton was always decent in ELR, and again came out well from Back To You being cancelled. She is obviously better when she plays a mum of 3, in Back To You she was a single parent of 1 daughter in a show that wasn't that great. Here she is back in charge of 3 kids in a chaotic family, and she seems to be in her comfort zone. Every sitcom should have at least one christmas episode and this was decent, maybe not a stone cold classic but a good one to improve on in season 2 or 3.moreless
