The Hecks arrive at Walt Disney Word but a run of bad luck puts the trip in jeopardy.
After winning a trip to Walt Disney World in Ehlert's 'Hands on a Hard Body' contest, Sue anxiously awaits the day the family starts on their road trip. Brick, on the other hand, wants to make a side trip to North Carolina to meet his on-line girlfriend. Axl is nervous about getting his final grades.moreless
Sue tries to win a car by entering Ehlert Motors 'Hands on a Hard Body' contest. Elsewhere, Mike and his brother bond on a road trip as they escort Brick to his Spelling Bee. Frankie helps Axl look for his missing dorm-room desk in order to get her security deposit back.moreless
Deciding that the kids' never ending demands are driving her crazy, Frankie tells them that they can only make demands between 5:00-6:00 p.m. To keep Sue from being taken advantage of, Mike keeps an eye on Darrin. Brick asks his new friends to the house for a book club meeting.
Sue is in a panic, she's less than two years away from graduation and she needs to figure out how to earn a scholarship for college. Frankie forgot to send out any of the patient appointment cards and business has fallen off for Dr. Goodwin. When Mike misreads a situation and reprimands a girl for picking on Brick, Brick demands an apology. Axl and Hutch raid the Heck kitchen in their attempt to bulk up and keep a position on the football team for the coming year.moreless
Frankie begs nemesis Rita Glossner to take down her annoying wind chimes. When Axl and Hutch discover a discarded old couch, they try to find a way to salvage it. Not enough salt on a pretzel compels Brick to devise a new pretzel snack idea for the company. Sue lets the family know that she and Darrin are dating again.moreless
After agreeing to assist Bill Norwood, Mike ends up as the new head coach of the girls soccer team of which Sue is a member. Much to his chagrin, the girls are more interested in personal issues than soccer. Frankie finds that the revolting smell in the house is actually coming from Brick. Axl is still perplexed by the picture Cassidy painted for him.moreless
A walk around the neighborhood makes Frankie and Mike realize that they need to work on being more interesting and charming to each other, like they are to the neighbors. Sue can't say no to any of the boys who ask her to prom so she ends up with several dates. Brick decides to ask for Axl's help when he must prepare an "outside the box" book report.moreless
When Frankie's handcuffed and arrested over an unreturned library book, she suspects that Brick may be the real culprit. Sue isn't impressed by Reverend TimTom's new girlfriend, Reverend Tammy. Axl gets back with Cassidy during spring break but ends up mostly kissing with very little talking.
Mike's forced paid vacation is anything but relaxing when Brick tries to execute all the personal gift coupons he's given Mike over the years. Axl's been hanging at the Donahues for several days without Frankie's knowledge which doesn't set well with her. A bad online customer service review has Sue over compensating at Spudsy in an effort to please customers.moreless
For his twenty years of service, Mike is getting an award from the quarry during a dinner in his honor but Frankie only finds out about it from a local blog. Sue tries to devise a plan that gets student's more connected. Axl does his best to track down the unknown girl who left a message on his phone. Hand-me-downs consisting of a purple suit and a bolo tie have Brick believing he looks very sophisticated.moreless
When the Hecks' quarrelling disrupts the church service sermon, they find themselves the object of counseling by the visiting minister. Problem is, they have a coupon for an all-you-can-eat buffet and, with all their built-up issues, they may never make it to the grand feast.
Parents have been asked to form carpools when the school bus drivers go on strike. Since Frankie isn't really great at keeping to a time schedule, her carpool kids face the prospect of getting tardy slips. Axl decides to hit the books in Astronomy so he can tutor a hot student. When Mike goes looking for someone to go with him to the IU basketball game, he is totally unaware that Sue really want to go with him.moreless
Sue's determined to out prank Axl when she finds out that it was Axl's prank a year ago that forced her to wear the chicken head when she was school mascot. Dr. Goodwin attempts to make Frankie his friend. Frankie decides that if Mike can't make friends with her new dog, she'll look for the dog's owner. Upon a recommendation, Brick tries to get interested in a biography on Debbie Reynolds.moreless
Frankie and Mike grow worried when Brick develops more and more irrational fears generated by new alerts. Sue is taken aback by Derrick Glossner's continuous spontaneous kisses. Darrin decides to spinoff Boss Co but Axl and Sean quickly put an end to that idea with unforeseen consequences.
Christmas vacation is here but Axl would rather spend his time with his friends, much to Frankie's chagrin. Sue discovers she's allergic to the Christmas tree and Brick's lies about his school's Christmas wrapping paper sales have him in trouble.
Frankie and Mike's house sitting gig threatens their hoped for romantic weekend when they can't figure out how to use all the household computerized gadgets. Meanwhile back at home, Sue and Brick are disrupted by an invasion of the Glossner kids. Axl takes Darren and Sean on a drive to Vassar to hook up with ex-girlfriend Cassidy.moreless
It's another hectic Thanksgiving for the Heck family. Axl needs to tell Frankie and Mike he's dropped all but one college course, Tag fesses up to Mike that he gambled away the money he was supposed to use for his and Pat's cruise, Sue's got a shopping secret and, to top it all off, Dr. Goodwin and Uncle Rusty's wife and kids show up unannounced. In the midst of it all, Brick is determined to have lime green jello for Thanksgiving dinner.moreless
While Frankie is comforted by a lost dog, she and Mike are both taken off guard when Sue gets on the high school volleyball team. Axl turns to Brick for help when he finds out he's failing all but one of his college courses.
At Halloween, Sue decides to contact the other side by having a séance at a sleepover. Axl can't go to his own Halloween party because of some football hazing. When Brick wants to ask a girl to the school dance he gets advice from Frankie and Mike and Sue.
While a heartbroken Sue tries to win Darren back by making him jealous, it's the centennial anniversary of the town of Orson. Frankie and Mike are picked, much to their annoyance, to drive a giant cow float in the celebratory parade. To make some money, Axl, Darrin and Sean start up their Boss company during the celebrations while Brick enters the contest to come up with a new town motto.moreless
With the church van gone and the family car repaired, Sue may have to use the bus again. With Frankie and Mike's okay, Sue decides that she wants to buy a car so, to earn the money, she takes a job as a potato girl in the mall food court. Brick has been skipping all his classes at school, much to his parents' concern. Axl gets fed up with his terrible college roommate so he feels like the best thing to do is to sleep in his own bed at home.moreless
Without Axl there to make her life wretched, Sue's first day of school is liberating. Brick, on the other hand, is staying out of the bathroom at middle school. Jealous raises its ugly head when Frankie find out that Axl, while ignoring her, is returning Mike's texts. When Darrin comes over to help fix the air conditioner, Sue finds herself caring about Darrin once again.moreless
On Axl's college dorm moving-in day, Frankie wants the entire family to go along for the ride, despite Axl not wanting everybody to go. On the way, Sue finds out that Frankie forgot to fax her Junior Peer Leadership Advisor essay and panics. Brick gets a new cell phone but keeps losing it.moreless
