I love the Hecks. I especially love when the Hecks are all together. This episode was brilliant because every character had their time to shine, but in the end, the group dynamic is what made me love it so much.

This episode had a solid Sue/Axl plot, which is a combination I wish we could see more of. Charlie McDermott was especially hilarious in reaction to Sue's attachment to her hair rollers. It's great to be able to see some of the reasons why Axl is so 'mean' to Sue because, though hilarious, Sue's actions were pretty strange.

I was also impressed with Brick's solo subplot. I thought that that was something totally appropriate for his character, and it was both charming and insignificant enough to add to the episode without taking away from the main focus of spring cleaning or detach him from the rest of the family. Plus it made for the perfect set-up of Brick's questions about divorce. And Neil Flynn is just hilarious and overwhelmingly charming, so there isn't much else to be said in that regard (even though I am extremely biased since he is my all-time favorite actor). His chemistry with Patricia Heaton was spot-on though, further reinforcing the idea that the Hecks are best all together!moreless
