This episode marks the first time Brick doesn't whisper under his chest. That's like Popeye not eating his spinach or a Bugs Bunny short without Bugs asking "Eh, what's up doc?"
As for the episode, Mom goes through much trouble helping Brick getting elected for school historian, and the past things she did for him. One moment was ehdn she played Axl's electric guitar & sang a goofy song about Brick's teacher. She'd win a trip to Kalamazoo for that performance (LOL).
Brick does get elected after doing a speech which was more like stand up comedy or a late night monologue. You won the election (election).moreless

Mike begins searching for a new job when the quarry is shut down for scientific research because of the discovery of a dinosaur bone. He soon feels like a dinosaur himself when he realizes the drastic changes in technology that he can't seem to keep up with.
