  • Simply put, this episode is Bessie at her best.

It's hard to find a Mighty B! fan who doesn't have Dragonflies on their list of favorite episodes. It's easy to see why people enjoyed this episode so much. It's what we expect from the show by now and then some.

It starts out like any other episode but the antagonists, the Oakland Dragonflies, are introduced and things quickly take a turn for the worse. One things leads to another and the two troops go head-to-head in a challenge to win the rec center. As stated earlier, it starts off like any other episode albeit a bit more suspenseful.

Then, the second half of the episode comes on. We get a totally unexpected musical sequence with a song that warrant head-bopping and singing along. Afterward, viewers are treated to a skirmish that is, while shorter than I would've liked, pretty intense. Things get back on track and then the crowning jewel of the episode comes on. A high-speed race with a rocking song in the background. Throughout the episode, it maintains a stand that there is no clear winner and it stays that way up until about two minutes from the ending.

As entertaining as the episode was, I will admit that it is not without its flaw. I feel that things wrapped up a bit too quickly and I would've liked to see more competitions between the two troops. However, when the episode was as epic as it was, there is little reason to complain.

Admittedly, I was a little worried at how The Mighty B!, a show known for lighthearted humor, would handle intense action but Dragonflies nailed it. It is intense but at the same time, keeps the appeal that we've come to expect from the show. I can't see any Mighty B! fan not enjoying this epic show.

    - Intense, albeit unexpected, action.

    - Some rocking songs thrown in for good measure.

    - Wraps up a bit too quickly.

    - Could have been a little longer.moreless
