  • One of the most imaginative episodes so far.

The greatest asset in The Mighty Boosh is how imaginative writers Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding are. Each episode is imbued with comic creations that expand and make the Boosh world funnier and funnier. The comedy centerpiece of this episode is Charlie, a bubblegum creature who visits the zoo and forms part of a comic strip Vince has written. He remains one of the show's most memorable guest characters.

Another good aspect of this episode is Howard's foolhardy ambitions to make it as a writer; it highlights the main and most consistently amusing difference between him and Vince: that the former's intellectual vanity will doom him to a life of unwarranted failure and that Vince's happy go lucky attitude will only be a further bane on the misery that results because of it.moreless
