Episode Summary

EDIT
Vince is convinced that The Human League invented music. According to Vince, Howard's past career as a jazz trumpeter does not measure up. When Vince is offered a chance to join a new band, ‘Kraftwork Orange' with Johnny Two Hats and the Electro Girls, he's intent on leaving everything behind, including Howard.moreless

  • Full of charm.

    6.5
Pure Boosh. Even when the occasional joke fall flat due to the restricted delivery style of some of the performers, the overall style and charm of this highly original sitcom win you over. And despite the odd flat joke, most of the stuff here is very funny.

Much of the humour in The Mighty Boosh is quite out there and zany but it still manages to be quite witty, especially in this episode. The musical number in this episode, done in the style of a Kraftwerk influenced new romantic rock group, is one of the best in the series.moreless

  • QUOTES (5)

    • The Spirit of Jazz: I'm gonna creep inside you like a warm kitten.

    • Vince: No-one listens to jazz. Science teachers and the mentally ill, that's all jazz is for.

    • Spirit of Jazz: All you have to do is sign these papers, baby.
      Young Howard: In Blood?
      Spirit of Jazz: Biro's fine.

    • Howard: When Lady Fame comes a-knocking on your door, you gotta be quick to open that door, because if you don't open it quick - she's away.
      Vince: As if.
      Howard: She only knocks once.
Vince: She does not, she knocks at my house all the time. Banging on the door. She's on the doorstep. I go to Tescos, she's hanging on my cords.
Howard: That's not Lady Fame is it? That's Mrs Pellam. She talks to mushrooms.
Vince: It's not, it's Lady Fame.
Howard: I don't think lady Fame would shop at Tescos, she'd shop at Marks if anything.
Vince: She goes to Marks for her bits. She doesn't do her main shop there, no one does.

    • Vince: That's my new demo, we're playing it tonight... Rock and roll is fast, you know, if all goes according to plan I could be in rehab next Thursday.
