  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • Dr. Bunsen Honeydew: Think of the safety! Think of the sense of well being! At last your family can be protected from the heartbreak of gorilla invasion.

  • Notes

    • "May You Always" is the UK spot. It was written by Dick Charles and Larry Markes. Notice the picture of Lassie on the piano.

    • This episode was taped the week of 9/28/1976.

    • Debuts: Kermit as a reporter with a guest star, and Miss Piggy's first name "Pigathius."

    • The creatures who sing with Avery in the final number are Shakey Shacnez, an adult and several baby Kaboozans, a blue bird with a "Gonzo nose-like" beak, and an oddly behaved Gorgon Heap. This is quite odd as the series goes on whenever Gorgon appears onstage he eats one of his fellow actors, whether he's supposed to or not.

    • Fozzie's joke: Hey, did you know that George the Janitor is so cheap that his wallet has an unlisted pocket? Am I too hip for the room?

Gonzo's gong: Beautiful Day Monster pops up in front of the gong and gets struck by Gonzo.

  • Allusions

    • The Muppet Newsflash sketch was first used in the Rita Moreno episode.

    • "Tenderly" was written by Walter Gross and Jack Lawrence.

"Some Enchanted Evening" was written by Rodgers and Hammerstein. It's from the musical South Pacific.
