    • When this episode was released on dvd in the Season One box set, the song "Old Fashioned Way,' sung by Charles Aznavour and Mildred, was cut due to issues with the song's rights.

    • Fozzie's joke: I don't approve of belly dancers. Why can't they dance on the floor like everyone else?

  • Allusions

    • "Inchworm" was written by Frank Loesser. It was used in the film "Hans Christian Andersen." It will be sung again in season 3 by Danny Kaye. This was another of Jim Henson's favorite songs.

    • "I Feel Pretty," "Maria, I Just Met a girl Named Maria," and "Tonight, Tonight" are from the classic Leonard Bernstein-Stephen Sondheim musical West Side Story.
