Dr. Teeth: What was that?
Don Knotts: That was 'Lullabye from Birdland'!
Dr. Teeth: Well, it sounds like the bird died.
During "The Windmills of Your Mind" sketch, Jerry Nelson, who provided the voice for the screaming thing, did so many takes that eventually fellow muppeteer Jim Henson took over.
Although the opening theme song and music remained the same from the first season, this episode marked the first time the more iconic "arched" opening is used. Kermit's verse introducing the guest star is replaced with scenes showing antics and comments by Statler and Waldorf (the opening theme would be altered slightly every season).
Richard Hunt now provides the voice of Janice.
Don Knotts was originally best known as Barney Fife of The Andy Griffith Show.By today's standards however,he's probably more remembered as Three's Company's Mr.Furley.
