  • The legendary Elton John visits The Muppet Show and performs a few of his classic hits.

    9.0
One of the best episodes of the entire series hands down. Elton John's performances with Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem were just perfect. "Crocodile Rock" was brilliantly staged. It was hysterical how the crocodiles joined in on the song. Seeing Elton "conduct" them was just as hysterical. Miss Piggy did a pretty good job filling in for Kiki Dee in yet another terrific musical perfomance. The skits featuring the muppets also worked well. The "Any Old Iron" skecth was very entertaining (Though the purple muppet missing his right pupil was a distraction.). This is an episode you should see.moreless
  • Elton at his best

    10
The beginning set with "Crocodile Rock" complete with his outrageous costumes and muppet crocodiles says it all. Elton just does manage to avoid being eaten :). Good rendering of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" to close it out, and they manage to squeeze in "Benny and the Jets" around other sordid acts. One of the few shows to have both Pigs in Space and Veterinarian Hospital (two regular sketches) on the same show. The running gag of the Swedish chef and the chicken that lays ping pong balls is hilarious. Elton even manages to trip up Sam the classy eagle with his picture of Mozart.moreless
