    • NOTES (7)

      • Episode 6 on the Muppet Show Season 1 dvds

      • "Dog Eat Dog" is the UK spot in this episode. It was written by Steven Fern and Edward Kassner.

      • Scooter's officially introduced in this episode, though he's been in three previous (produced) episodes. The reason for his introduction here is due to the fact that this episode aired after the Rita Moreno episode, which was the first to air in most markets and did not feature Scooter. The jacket Scooter wears is a replica of the jacket worn by members of the show's crew.

      • This episode marks the only time that Kermit refers to Miss Piggy by her full name of Miss Piggy Lee. This is a tribute to Peggy Lee.

      • When this episode was released in the first season dvd box set, some numbers and sketches had to be trimmed for legal reasons:
        - "Gone With The Wind" sung by Jim Nabors (Music licence issue)
        - "The Danceros" sung by The Danceros (Music licence issue)
        - Backstage bit and introduction for "The Danceros" (Due to cut of ""The Danceros" sketch)

      • Fozzie's joke: My cousin is so thin he paints his head gold and rents himself out as a flagpole.

Gonzo's gong: The gong part of the "O" is missing so Gonzo hits his head.

      • Debuts: Talking Houses, Muppet News, At the Dance, Wayne & Wanda, Fozzie's Act, the name of the theater (Benny Vandergast Memorial Theater)
