  • The Muppets decide to put on a performance of Robin Hood with the late Lynn Redgrave as Lady Marion.

Hands down the best episode of the third season. Change can be a risky thing sometimes when it comes to the well established format of shows or anything for that matter. However in this case the change was well worth the risk. This episode is just as terrific today as it was when I first saw it when I was a kid over thirty years ago. The laughs just don't stop. The songs are terrific. Kermit's fights with the castle guards are great. As corny as the jokes are in those scenes ("Mine cost $1.95!") they are rip roaring hysterical. This episode is not just the best of the season, it is in my opinion, the best episode of "The Muppet Show" period. Make time to see it as soon as you can! Cavort! Cavort! Cavort!
