The Naked Underground

Show Summary

The Naked Underground is a documentary TV and web series developed by the History Channel that offers a chance to take a peek underneath the prevailing figures and ideas most people learn about different cultures in the world. Don Wildman, host of Naked Underground’s parent show, “Cities of the Underworld”, investigates and learns about the not-so known facts of topics such as the often forgotten Japanese female Samurais, the shrieking cries of the Celtic Banshees, and the first capital of the United States – New York. The Naked Underground deals with historical fact – the Westminster Burial Ground, which had been the most popular place to get a corpse for a few bucks – to the urban legends – the Founding Father’s Death Wish, which is a myth about how all 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence died shortly after their John Hancock graced the pages. These short little journeys into the underbellies of the cultural underground often an amusing and captivating look at some of those lesser-known facts.moreless
