This episode was pretty intense. I loved it. I haven't seen a lot of The Nanny because it goes on at 2 a.m. and I can only watch it on Friday nights and during the summer and vacations. But I enjoyed the last season when Fran and Maxwell are together. I liked this episode especially, because I remembered Fran going into Central Park and talking to the Asian woman. I loved her! "Frankie, don't eat out of the garbage! You'll die!" That was pretty funny! Fran can be annoying at times, but it's still a good show, and this episode is particularly special.moreless

    • Maxwell: Where's Brighton?
      Grace: Um, looking for Yetta.
      Maxwell: Where's Yetta?
      Grace: Looking for Brighton.
Maxwell: If you knew that they were looking for each other, why didn't you just tell them?
      Grace: More fun for me?

    • Fran: When did you start smoking again?
C.C.: Somewhere between "I" and "do".

    • Niles: (to C.C., referring to Fran being pregnant; C.C. is referring to Yetta losing Brighton at the movies) You know the secret?
C.C.: Yeah, yeah, don't tell Maxwell about the kid
Niles: Miss Babcock, I can hardly believe you're still standing after a bombshell like that.
C.C.: What bombshell? It's not that big a deal!
Niles: You don't see Fran's pregnancy as the final nail in your coffin?
(the camera zooms into C.C.'s face as a dramatic organ chord plays)
      C.C.: Nanny Fine is... pregnant?
      Niles: That wasn't your secret?
      C.C.: No!
(the camera zooms into Niles' face as a dramatic organ chord plays)
I can't believe Nanny Fine is pregnant!
Niles: Now Miss Babcock, Fran hasn't told Mr. Sheffield yet, and if she finds out I blabbed, I'll lose my closest friend!
C.C.: I have nothing to live for!
Niles: Oh please don't tell her! I'll be your slave!
      C.C.: And now I do!

  • NOTES (1)

    • Margaret Cho's character name is Caryn and her son is Frankie. Caryn Lucas and Frank Lombardi are executive producers of the series.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Sylvia mentions to a doctor, who looks a lot like Chad Everett, that she used to stay home every Wednesday to see him. This is a reference to the 1969 show Medical Center in which Everett was an actor.
