      • Maxwell: Miss Fine, no one cares about your boyfriend's vacation plans.
        Niles: Ex-boyfriend.
        Grace: And I care deeply!

      • C.C.: Nanny Fine, a fake-fur coat! How 'P.C.' of you!
        Fran:: Huh?
C.C.: P.C., as in 'Politically Correct'
Fran: Uh-uh, J.C., as in 'Penney'.

      • Brighton: So Brock, now that you're in a coma, aren't you worried you'll get killed off?
Brock: I'll recover once we settle my contract.
        Brighton: Uh huh. (Walks away)
Brock: Why? What have you heard?

      • Niles: Sir, are you worried she'll have a bad time or a good one?
Maxwell: You know Niles, you're starting to get on my nerves.
Niles: All in a day's work, sir.

      • C.C.: It's not like she won't be completely thrilled by the prospects she glommed onto him like a refrigerator magnet.
Maxwell: She was rather taken with him.
Niles: So, you'll actually be doing Miss Fine a favor, as opposed to pimping her?
        Maxwell: Thank you, Niles.
Niles: Always there for you, sir.

      • Brock: Is this your gorgeous wife?
Maxwell: No, this is my less than subtle nanny.

      • C.C.: Synthetic fur. How P.C. of you.
        Fran: P.C.?
        C.C.: As in politically correct.
Fran: Oh well actually, it's J.C. as in Penney. Your outfits' nice too.
C.C.: Of course it is, dear. Mine's Adolpho.
        Niles: As in Hitler?

      • Fran: Brock this is my best friend, Val Toriello. Alright Val, embarrass me.
Val: Mr. Storm, it's an honor. (Shakes his hand) Was it as good for you as it was for me?
Fran: Two seconds. Val, I believe that's a record.

      • (Fran and Maxwell are having a conversation after she gets back from her date with Brock)
Maxwell: Frankly, Ms. Fine, after the way he treated you I don't care to work with him any more.
Fran: Oh, too bad, 'cause now he could really hit those high notes! Good night, Mr. Sheffield! (Fran walks upstairs)
Brighton: Does that mean she kicked him in the...
        Maxwell: (interrupts) Goodnight, Brighton!

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • When Fran, Sylvia, and Yetta were watching TV they talk about how Days of Our lives was not the same without Shane, the character played by Charles Shaughnessy. And when they talked about the Dick Van Dyke Show, they talked about the character of Millie Helper who was played by Ann Guilbert who plays Yetta.

      • At one point in the episode, Stephen Nichols' character puts on an eye patch. This alludes to the character he played on Days of Our Lives, Patch, who obviously also wore an eye patch.
