Goof: In the final scene in the lounge, there is a plaster bust on the hall table that appears and re-appears between shots.
Fran: Niles, did my mother call?
Niles: Well, I'm not sure. There was one call. A sob, a sigh and a long plaintive "oooooooyyyy."
Fran: Either that's her or AT&T is really depressed that we switched to Sprint. I can't believe she would stoop to prank guilt calls.
Niles: How low can she go?
Fran: You're talking about a woman who can grow a tumor on command.
Maxwell: Dinner won't be just us. Miss Fine and her mother will be there.
C.C.: No! I hate that woman!
Niles: Which one?
C.C.: Pick!
Niles: This should be quite a dinner. Miss Fine not speaking to her mother, Miss Margaret not speaking to you. That'll leave the bulk of the conversation to you and Sylvia.
Maxwell: Oh, God.
Niles: Oh, sir, it won't be that bad. You'll tell her how you got started in theater and she'll tell you how she removes unwanted hair.
Yetta: So when are you due?
Marsha: Grandma, I'm not pregnant!
Yetta: So stop eating!
Gracie: Aren't my hamsters cute? We named the babies Maggie, Brighton, and Grace. There was a C.C., but Miss Fine ate her.
Sylvia: Isn't that adorable! (After Gracie leaves, to Niles) The kid collects vermin.
C.C.: (Trying to be a member of the family) So, kids, what's new?
Gracie: Miss Fine's having a baby.
C.C.: What?! Who's the father?
Niles: Why, Mr. Sheffield of course.
(C.C. spits her drink clear across the dining room)
(Miss Fine & Mr. Sheffield were the names of Gracie's hamsters)
C.C.: Who died?
Fran: My great Aunt Mima Fayga - she was 104.
C.C.: How'd she die?
Niles: Childbirth.
The last scene featured Fran watching TV with Sylvia and Yetta. First they're watching Days of Our Lives. Fran says the show was never the same since Shane left. Mr. Sheffield appears saying the actor once auditioned for him with "that fake british accent". Then they change to The Dick Van Dyke Show, and question why the character of Millie Helper was never spun off. Yetta replies, "I hear she was hard to work with". Of course, Shane was played by Charles Shaughnessy (Mr. Sheffield) and Millie by Ann Guilbert (Yetta).
The title "Take Back Your Mink" is an allusion to a song from the Broadway musical "Guys and Dolls".
