    • TRIVIA (0)

    • QUOTES (8)

      • Maxwell: Everyone stay calm! I don't want any added stress put on Fran!
(the elevator suddenly closes with Fran still inside)
Fran: Stress has just been added.

      • Niles: Oh, sir. Perhaps I'm destined to spend my life as an old maid.
        Maxwell: Literally.

      • Maggie: So, uh, Sylvia, what did you and Morty do on your first anniversary?
Sylvia: We went to Puerto Rico.
Maggie: Aww. What about you, Yetta?
        Yetta: We fled Poland.

      • (C.C. is helping Fran with her Lamaze breathing in the elevator)
C.C.: Now, Nanny Fine, breathe slow. Iiiiiiiinnn, and out! And iiiinnnnn, and ooooouuuut! (singing along with the elevator music) Don't tell me what it's all... about! 'Cause I've been there and I'm glad - everybody!
Fran and C.C.: (singing) Out of those chains, those chains that bind you, that is why...
        C.C.: Just the pregnant girls!
Fran: I'm here to remind you...
Fran and C.C.: What do you get when you fall in love, you only get lies and pain and sorrow... (just C.C.) So for at least, until tomorrow...
        (Fran screams)
C.C.: ...never fall in love again! Don't you know that...
        (Fran screams)
C.C.: Never fall in love a...
Fran: This is it! They're coming! They're coming!
C.C.: ...gain... (nervously hums along with the tune)

      • (While stuck in the elevator, Fran screams in pain)
C.C.: Ugh, you are such a drama queen.
Fran: Why don't you come down here, and let me explain to you the source of these horrific screams. (C.C. leans in towards Fran, who's lying on the floor) Imagine if you will, squeezing out two 40 pound matzo balls, (grabs C.C.'s shirt)
THROUGH YOUR NOSTRIL!!! (she has another contraction) Oh...oh! They're coming. They're coming! Do you see a head?
C.C.: You don't actually want me to look down there, do you?!

      • Miss Babcock: Please! I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies!
Fran: Well, frankly, Miss Babcock, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!

      • Yetta: You know, when my Sylvia was a baby, when she was born she weighed nine and a half pounds!
        Sylvia: That's not so unusual.
Yetta: It is when you're a preemie!

      • Fran: I hope this tape brings on my labor, although I don't blame them for wanting to stay in there. I mean, all they do is lie around all day. It's 98 degrees, all-you-can-eat... It's Miami in there.

    • NOTES (5)

      • Music:
"Time After Time" by Steve Lawrence.

      • In syndication, the final episodes were aired in order.

      • In this episode, Yetta says she celebrated her first anniversary with her husband by fleeing Poland with him. However, in Yetta's Letters, the entire episode revolved around how she fell in love with a waiter when she was on the ship fleeing American and didn't meet her husband until she got to America.

      • Viewers were only able to catch up on the story thanks to a "previously on The Nanny" clip segment airing prior to the episode, because CBS had pulled The Nanny months before and never gave the show contiuity before airing the finale. The unaired episodes, however, did air the following summer.

      • Real life aerobics instructor Denise Austin is not credited for appearing on her own video that Fran watches in this episode.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • When Fran asks C.C. to help her when she goes into labor, C.C. says, "I don't know nothing about birthing no babies!" Then Fran replies, "Well, frankly, Miss Babcock, I don't give a damn!!" Both are quotes from the 1939 movie, Gone With the Wind.
