  • Trivia

    • How can they be three generations of Fine women when Yetta is Sylvia's mother and Sylvia is only a Fine by marriage? Yetta's last name is Rosenberg

  • Quotes

    • Fran: Epidural. Epi-damn-dural!

    • (a doctor comes in the room after Fran had her babies)
Doctor Taylor: I'm sorry to intrude. Is Chastity Claire...
C.C.: Oh, hi, yes, Dr. Taylor.
Doctor Taylor: Hi, I just wanted you to know I have the results of your tests, and everything's all normal!
C.C.: Oh, I know. I feel much better. We figured out what was causing my nausea.
Doctor Taylor: Well, your intuition was right. Congratulations, you're pregnant!
      (Niles and C.C. faint)

    • C.C.: (after marrying Niles in Fran's delivery room) Nanny Fine, you were right, I don't feel like I'm gonna throw up any more!!
Fran: I'm so freakin' happy for you!!

    • Brighton: (to Grace) All right now, I'm gonna e-mail you every day, of course until I meet a girl, in which case, I'll really have no time for you, so...
Grace: So, I'll hear from you every day!

    • Fran: (at the airport, to Brighton and Maggie) Don't go!!!
(hugs them) I tried to be strong but they need their mother!
      Maxwell: Come on, come on!
Fran: Honey, I haven't had enough time with them yet!
Maxwell: (to the kids) Anything you need, anything at all, you just call or night, anytime, even if it's just to say hello!
Fran: (Over the intercom) Ladies and gentlemen, flight 602 to Paris has been cancelled, due to the fact that... (crying) I'm gonna miss my babies!

    • (Brighton and Maggie board the plane to Paris, and Fran leans against the wall, watching them go. The scene then changes to nighttime with Fran still leaning against the wall)
Maxwell: Sweetheart, they've already been in Paris for over an hour now
Fran: Really? (walks over to the stroller) And have you gotten a call? (they leave)

    • Nurse: I am going to give you a little something with for the pain.
Fran: Not little. I want to be 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.'

  • Notes

    • The speech has been aired both ways on Lifetime. It was edited to meet time requirements, which is the reason for the different speeches. If you watch during the morning or when Lifetime runs a marathon you will see the longer version. In the evenings it is the shorter version.

    • Actually, on Lifetime they have shown her speech at the end (this is the second time I've seen it). The odd thing is that it's different than the one you have written here. I recorded it so that it would be accurate so here goes...

"Thank you. Thank you everybody. Thank you so much. With much gratitude, thank you very, very much. God bless, and think peace. Good night everybody."

    • The Nanny Reunion shows a slightly different scene when Fran, Yetta and Sylvia are in the room in the beginning.
Yetta and Sylvia talk about how they were good mothers and how Fran also will be one.

    • When Lifetime aired this episode, they removed Fran's final speech. The episode currently ends with Fran walking off the set and the audience applauding.

    • After the final scene where Fran leaves the mansion, the whole cast was called back and Fran Drescher gave a speech. Here's it:
"Thank you. Thank you everybody, thank you so much. Everyone here at 'The Nanny' wants to thank you for inviting us into your home. We appreciate the privilege of being able to entertain you. The entire cast, crew and staff of 'The Nanny' just love you for your continued support throughout these 6 years. You'll long be remembered" To which an audience member replies: "And so will you!" Indeed, she will.

    • They name the babies "Jonah Samuel" and "Eve Catherine"

  • Allusions

    • Fran mentions that she wants enough pain medicine to be 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.' This is the name of a song by The Beatles, which is rumor to reference drug use.
