Fran: Oh, Mr. Sheffield, (Holds up a can of tennis balls) you forgot your balls.
Maxwell: Do you really think she's that bad?
Fran: Did you see The Hand That Rocks The Cradle? She was the technical advisor.
Fran: So, does that mean my job's not in jeopardy?!
Maxwell: No more than usual.
Maxwell: Miss Fine?!
Fran: Yes Mr. Sheffield, sir?
Max: Take off that uniform!
Maxwell: Nanny, are you comparing Miss Fine to a dog?
Nanny Mueller: Not at all, Schnauzer had a pedigree.
Nanny Mueller: (talking to Maggie) Oh, button up dear! If Victoria can keep her secret, so can you.
Fran: Oh, Mr. Sheffield, you forgot your balls. (as she holds up a can of tennis balls)
(Nanny Mueller brings the kids in wearing sailor suits)
Brighton: Fran, I can't go outside in this, somebody will kick my butt.
Fran: Sweetheart, I'd kick your butt.
Fran: I say tomatoe she says tomato, i say potatoe she says.... Max:Miss Fine! This line is a lyric from the song "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off" from the movie "Shall We Dance" which stars Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Fran mentions the 1992 movie, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, which featured Madeline Zima, who plays Gracie on this show.
On this episode, C.C. mentions that she has a sister (D.D.) and a living mother (B.B.).
When Nanny Mueller dresses the kids in sailor uniforms, Fran mockingly compares them to the Von Trapp kids. This is a reference to the 1965 film The Sound of Music in which Captain Von Trapp has made his Austrian home overly restrictive with harshly enforced discipline. This causes his seven children to be underfed when it comes to joy and love.
