  • Very sad that this is still popular

The shelters are overflowing with unwanted and abandoned dogs, and yet Purina sees fit to sponsor and encourage those folks who will pay thousands of dollars to assauge their egos with a status dog.

Eugenics died a desrved death in the 1940s for humans, but still flourishes in the dog world. Points for muzzle shape, points for tail position, points off for a few errant hairs of an unapproved colour. Purina should be promoting dog sports like flyball or "top dog" type competitions open to all dogs, and using their advertising sponsorships to promote adoption from shelters, as well as the fitness advantages for dogs and humans.moreless

I've never been a big fan of dog shows just because I love mutts...but still. I like seeing different breeds and unique animals. I don't really care for the judging and the saying of who is perfect and who is not. I love seeing personality in the different dogs. I think that John O'Hurley is a great host and he's really funny and entertaining. I think that is why I can watch the show. It is not that serious and they have fun with it. Overall, this is a good, informative show and I love seeing the different breeds and owners.moreless
