    Christine finally has a boyfriend!

Anouther great episode which really showed Julias talent. She just keeps getting better.

This episode slowly started to feature not only wants happening in Christines life, but also a sub plot. This really showed off the talented co stars this show has. Both Christines brother and son were excellent and I hope to see more of them in the future. I would also like to see a bit more of Barb (she was so funny.)

Christines various dates were hilarious- espicailly the lesbian and the first guy(perhaps a bit of OCD!!)

I can't wait to see where her new relationship end up. It should be great

Anouther excellent installment in what is fast becoming one of the best shows on TV.moreless
  • Funny, but just a little familiar

    8.5
There are plenty of laughs in this episode, particularly in a well-played scene when Old Christine mistakenly hooks up with someone else's blind date. A montage of the many disastrous blind dates she endures is very funny, too.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus enthusiastically dives into the material; her delivery and timing land joke after joke. Andy Ackerman, one of the top directors working in television, keeps things moving at a brisk clip.

The challenge this show will face in the future is the familiar subject matter. Dating dilemmas have been sitcom fodder for forty years or more; your parents' generation watched Mary Tyler Moore and wondered if she would ever find Mr. Right.

If "Old Christine" can find a way to keep that topic fresh -- or better yet, explore some other story areas occasionally -- this show could be a hit.moreless
  • Continues the exploration of Christine Campbell\'s needs and desires, with added character development.

    9.5
While not as funny as the two previous episodes, the third episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine includes some interesting character development,

Christine needs a boyfriend, and she wants one fast. Her friend Barb, of the duo known throughout the episode as \"Barb and Pete\" sets up Christine on a blind date, something she usually won\'t do.

At the restaurant, she finds a guy she really likes, and he seems to like her, even though she awkwardly mentions her new Brazilian wax, saying it \"feels like I slid down a sandpaper banister\". Suddenly, the man\'s real blind date arrives. The whole situation was a confusion. And Christine\'s real blind date arrives too. He is a nerdy-seeming short man that brings his own food to a restaurant.

Following this, we see a series of horrible dates including a very young man, a man who\'s obsessed with his ex-wife, and even, of all things, a lesbian.

Eventually, Christine and the guy she accidentally met get together, which we all knew was going to happen from the moment the confusion happened.moreless
