  • Rabbit and Tigger travel with Piglet to the Land of Milk and Hunny to get a friendship present for Pooh, since Pooh already gave one to Piglet.

This is one of the better Piglet episodes, since it shows how Piglet can take life into his own hands instead of being portrayed as one of the weaker and more pliable characters. The story begins well enough, with Pooh finding a jack-in-the-box spring and gives it to Piglet as a friendship gift. But the episode really begins to pick up the pace as Rabbit, Tigger and Piglet discover the Land of Milk and Hunny, inhabited by Pygmy Piglets.

But the climax is probably the part of the episode that makes it such a Winnie-the-Pooh-ish episode: a volcano erupts and spews hunny, threatening to destroy the Pygmy's homes. Discouraged, the Pygmy's decided that they can't do anything against the volcano. However, Piglet encourages the Pygmys and helps them bring down the statues of Rabbit and Tigger, forming a baracade against the volcano.

Thus, piglet prooves in a big way that even the smallest of "very-small-animals" can hold out against the forces of nature.moreless

  • QUOTES (6)

    • (Rabbit turns to a band of monkeys for directions to the Land of Milk and Honey)
Rabbit: Ahem. Excuse me. Could I ask you something?
Conductor: Sure! You have a request? Chattanooga Choo Choo? Ludwig's 5th? Hey! How 'bout The Last Train to Clarksville? We can do it all, you know? Listen. (to his band) And a one, and a two, and a...
(the band plays loud and horribly; Rabbit covers his ears)
Rabbit: No! Wait! All I wanna know is how to find the Land of Milk and Honey!
      (the band stops)
Conductor: Did you say the Land of Milk and Honey?
      Rabbit: Why, yes.
      Conductor: TAKE 5!!
(he and his band exit the forest)

    • (the gateway to the Land of Milk and Honey opens ominously; several pairs of eyes stare down Piglet, Tigger, and Rabbit)
Piglet: Please be friendly. Please be friendly. Please be... f-f-f-friendly.
(a being with a large freaky mask on approaches the trio, frightening Tigger)
Tigger: (gasps) Cannibibbles! (stammers) Say somethin', Rabbit!
Rabbit: Me? This was Piglet's idea.
Piglet: What? (nervously approaches the "cannibibble") EEK! (flashes his gift from Pooh) I've got a... Uh... I- I got a... Uh... Whatever it is, and I'm not afraid to use it!
(suddenly, the "cannibibble" removes his mask, revealing himself to be a smaller version of Piglet)
Tigger: Hey! That's no cannibibble! It's a pygmy Piglet!

    • Tigger: (goes through his check list of honey Piglet borrowed from others in the 100-Acre Wood) Okay. 10 pots from Kanga: Check. 7 from Rabbit: Check. One yo-yo from Roo?! Ugh! Uncheck.

    • Piglet: (after the many honey jars he collected have broken into pieces) Oh, dear. I ruined Pooh's friendship gift. What am I gonna do now?
Rabbit: The only thing to do, Piglet: Get more honey.
Piglet: But where am I gonna get more honey? It's all broken.
Tigger: That's easy. The Land of Milk and Honey! (sniffs) My mom used to read to me about that place, when I was just a kitten.
Piglet: But where do we find this magical place?
Tigger: Why, in the jungle, Piglet. We just follow the trail of the most dangerous adventures!
Piglet: Must we have dangerous adventures?
Tigger: Oh, posilutely. (laughs) How else do we know we're headed in the right direction?
Rabbit: You're right. We leave at dawn!

    • (Rabbit and Tigger are arguing over where to hang a picture.)
Rabbit: The light's all wrong over there!
Tigger: Well, the dark's all wrong over there!

    • Pooh: (with a popgun in his hand) Guard. Guard. Guard. Guard. Guard. Guard. Guard. Guar...
(he hears a-knockin' on his door)
Pooh: Honey nappers! (walks to his front door, which he has blocked) They shall not pass! (frightened) Who goes there!?
Piglet: It's us! Me, Rabbit and Tigger!
Pooh: It is? (laughs) Wait. How do I know it's m-me, Rabbit and Tigger and not Honey Nappers?!
