AIRED:
In the conclusion of the two-part series finale, Beaver upsets the Cleaver clan when he makes the sudden decision to remarry his ex-wife, Kimberly. He suffers cold feet, however, when the wedding ceremony actually begins and he realizes that his new love, Pamela, is the one he should have chosen. He later explains to Kip and Oliver that he was only going to remarry their mom so that they can be a family again, but all agree that they already are a family. In the end, Beaver reconciles with Pamela, and asks for a second chance.moreless

      • According to Frank Bank ("Lumpy") and Ken Osmond ("Eddie") in a May 28, 2008 radio interview, the reason that "The New Leave it to Beaver" isn't aired in American syndication is that Universal sold the master videos to a small company in Australia called Qintex Productions, who went out of business shortly after the purchase was made. The show still occasionally airs there, but not often.

      • Rusty Stevens reprises his role of Larry Mondello for the first (and last) time since the 1983 premiere movie.

      • This episode marks the final time that Barbara Billingsley, Tony Dow, Frank Bank, Ken Osmond, and Jerry Mathers would play their respective roles from the original series after 32 years. Billingsley, Osmond, and Bank did, however, make cameo appearances in the 1997 "Leave it to Beaver" theatrical remake.
