This is something I've been wondering since I was able to see the Batman episodes of this again...Casey Kasem doubles as Shaggy and Robin in the cartoon...if they were able to get Adam West to voice Batman, why couldn't they bring in Burt Ward to voice Robin? Does anybody know?

Batman and Robin were originally voiced by Olan Soule and Casey Kasem in the 1968 Filmation animated series. They continued voicing the superheroes for the Scooby-Doo movies as well as several of the SuperFriends series when they worked for Hanna-Barbera. Adam West and Burt Ward played Batman and Robin in the 60's live action series and returned to voice their characters in the 70's Filmation series which had aired during the run of the SuperFriends series. Since Olan Soule and Casey Kasem were under contract for HB doing the SF series at the time, they couldn't voice the superheroes, so Filmation casted West and Ward for that one. Olan Soule was eventually replaced by Adam West to voice Batman in the last two SF series, but Casey Kasem remained as Robin.
