TV.com Episode Review

  • The Newsroom: Happy New Year!

"I'll Try to Fix You" was the character-focused episode I'd been waiting for, and in roughly equal measure, I loathed and loved the result.

  • Episode Summary

    EDIT

Maggie gets pressure from Don to set Jim up with her roommate, while Neal gives his Bigfoot theories to anyone willing to listen. After a confrontation with a gossip columnist on New Year's Eve, Will becomes fodder for the tabloids, threatening the integrity of the news investigation.

Slightly bit better than the previous two, but each scene is still getting sabotaged. What I mean is that once a scene gets going, and you're really into it, all of a sudden, someone says something stupid, or somebody walks and does something to ruin it. The show just doesn't know how to finish a scene properly. Mortimer, Pegg and Waterson are brutal.
    • One of the best Episode on TV

This has got to be right up there with the best television series just after 4 episodes. This had everything, entertainment, comedy, drama, romance all in one, but the last 10 minutes of this show was unbelievable!!! I love this show!!!!! Will quote got me jumping out of my chair '': You're a fucking news man, Don. I ever tell you otherwise, you punch me in the face'' The song by cold face just made everything even more dramatic. I can't wait for the next episode.. HBO well done.moreless
    • Favorite episode since the pilot

Emotional, dramatic, relevant, exciting. All are words that describe this episode! While I feel that episodes 2 and 3 lacked what the pilot brought to the table, it seems that it was all brought back with this episode! Especially the last 10 minutes. Outstanding and breathtaking, this was an episode of TV that I will surely never forget!
