  • More news (and more Maggie craziness)

    8.0
The first episode of the show's second season spent an awfully long time setting up big arcs meaning there wasn't much actual breaking news last week. This week has far more in the execution of Troy Davis (another story used to help rehabilitate the image of Don from the bastard presented in the show's first few episodes), a drone strike targeting an American citizen, and the ongoing stories of Operation Genoa and Occupy Wall Street.

We get more of Jim on the road (including a pretty good montage filling reports), and Maggie's complete meltdown to try and prevent her best friend from seeing the bus YouTube video (with a little help from Sloan).

Of all the episodes in the series so far we also get far more of Elliot, rather than Will, behind the anchor desk including during the 9/11 anniversary show (which, as expected, will have its own fallout next week).

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Goof: When Sloan talks to Maggie after finding her sleeping in her office, the small clock on the shelf with her awards first shows 6:10 as the time. When Sloan tells Maggie to come with her to the gym so Maggie can shower, that same clock shows 8:50 as the time.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Maggie: (about Don) He's not taking my calls.
Sloan: It's 6:00 am, he could be sleeping.
Maggie: If it goes to voice mail after two rings, they saw your name and sent you to voice mail.
      Sloan: Really.
Maggie: Four rings they're not there, two rings they don't want to talk to you.
Sloan: All right, I have to retrace my entire life now.

    • Jim: C'mon, man, you can't keep me off the bus again.
Cameron: According to Taliban law, I think I'm allowed to run over your face with the bus while making your sister drink Clorox.
