    Only seven finalists remain, and their first challenge is a Satellite Media Tour that includes preparation of their chosen dishes, then it's back to Studio B to create a pasta dish that reveals their culinary "point of view."
  • Rachael Ray, Food Network diva and star of 30 Minute Meals, Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels, Inside Dish with Rachael Ray and $40 a Day, teaches the contestants about show pacing, swap-outs, and never stopping tape. Contestants then take turns preparing a portion of a dish with the cameras rolling.
  • The eight finalists in the running for the Next Food Network Star are introduced. They are each given their favorite ingredient, and allotted 30 minutes to prepare a dish that showcases their ingredients and themselves. Next the contestants meet Iron Chefs Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto, and Mario Batali from the Food Network TV Show, Iron Chef America. The contestants are put through their paces, demonstrating their culinary skills for the Iron Chefs.moreless
