      • Bobby: How you guys doing?
Aria: We-we're down one, but we're good.
Bobby: You're down one. So what happened?
Aria: She got like a piece of Plexiglas or something in her eye.
Bobby: What part of the meal was she doing?
        Aria: She was doing dessert.
        Bobby: Oh, wow.
        Aria: Yeah.
Bobby: I would've gotten something in my eye, too. I woulda been outta here.

      • Aria: (unwrapping her ingredients) Anyone need thyme? …Ha, ha! Everyone needs time.

      • Brianna: (about Dzintra going to the ER for her eye) I would probably be concerned, too, but after all the work that you go through to get here, I would have to lose an arm before I would want to go to the hospital.

    • NOTES (3)

      • This episode was advertised as "supersized." It ran two hours, from 9-11 pm E/P.

      • A cover of the Tempations' "Get Ready" by Everything was used in the promos leading up to, and throughout, the season. Food Network parlayed that one song into a full CD of what they called "song & recipe pairings." Get Ready—The Next Food Network Star: Song & Recipe Pairings from the Cast, Judges and Hosts was available retail from only one online site, F.Y.E., if you wanted a fairly bizarre compilation CD with 17 tracks that ranged from Rosemary Clooney to Kelis to Aerosmith.
