Episode Summary

AFC Championship Game
James Brown and the gang get you all ready for the AFC Championship Game on CBS. After a stunning victory over the Indianapolis Colts last week, the San Diego Chargers are more pumped up than ever to now beat the undefeated New England Patriots. Using the early postseason exit in 2007 as motivation, LT and the Chargers are in Foxboro to be the last AFC team to possibly derail the Patriots path to perfection. The NFL Today crew look at what strengths the Chargers have that might just accomplish that feat. Led by pro-bowl linebacker Shawne Merriman, the Chargers are once again looking to prove all the critics wrong that they wouldn't be a threat in the AFC playoff run. The Patriots all season long have not backed down from a challenge, and they are fully aware of what San Diego is capable of doing. The plan for New England is to take out an already ailing LT, and make Philip Rivers beat them on his bum ankle. Can it be done? Shannon and Boomer say why the Patriots will be 18-0 after today.moreless
