The creators of the Defenders developed this show which originally focused on two nurses in a big city hospital. In The Defenders, an old, wise lawyer joined forces with his promising, but slightly naive son. In The Nurses, and older, highly experienced nurse ( played by Shirl Conway)mentored a naive student nurse ( Zina Bethune.)
From what little I know about this show, it was actually pretty good..better than the "mediocre" status given it on this web-site. Unfortunatly, we will probably never know, because CBS keeps it in its vaults, doomed to exist in the same limbo as Slattery's People, The Trials of O'Brien, and The Great Adventure.
Is there no way of persuading the powers that be a CBS to relent and open their archives?
