Episode Summary

My Name is Robbie
A freak accident at a Globicide-owned amusement park leaves Bob unable to use his mouth. Out of compassion (and at the advice of their lawyers), the people at Globicide build him a robotic suit with limbs that he can use to perform his duties. The now whole Bob gets an inflated ego and quits his job, but lands a new job as a lifeguard on the beach -- with a silicone-filled co-worker named Dusty who affectionately calls him Robbie. Meanwhile, Beth counts down the days to her upcoming birthday.moreless

  • Bob gets an upgrade, hilarity ensues. :D

I can't believe some people honestly think that the

"Oblongs" rips off of "South Park." First of all, there's not as much swearing in this show as there is in "South Park"-which I consider a good thing. Second, this show is written with a lot more heart and soul than the "South Park" guys could ever come up with. I think it's mostly because since the "Oblongs" aren't your average normal everyday family (in fact they're far from average,) because they don't really blend into society as well as other people do, they get belittled, pushed aside, and especially in Bob's case made fun of. People always made fun of his size and having no limbs, but when he got a robot body, people sure changed their tune about him. But when a woman needed rescuing, only Bob sans robot body could save her. That's what I like about the "Oblongs." It's a show that really trys to tell you that it's not how you look on the outside, it's whats in the inside that counts, and Bob proved that on the inside, he really counts a lot. Best part of all, the popular, 'normal' hill people got their comeuppance when a shark took control of Bob's old robot body and started eating them all alive! Now that proves that there is justice in the world! :Dmoreless

      (Throws away presents)
Beth: Okay where's my doll, jump-rope and new watch?
Pickles: Little girls don't get presents when they're greedy.
Beth: You forgot were you puted them didn't you?
      Pickles: Who wants cake!

    • Bob (singing): She reminds me of a woman, a sexy woman. Yeah a large-breasted, full-hipped woman that craves a spanking.

    • (during the 'it's a third world' ride)
Robot kids: ...Where we don't get to eat and we don't get to sleep. Rotten stench in the air becasue there's pee everywhere, it's a third world after all!
Milo: Mom, I want to work in a sweat-shop!
Pickles: Sorry honey, you're too old.

    • Bob: I may not have arms and legs, but I have the one body part that truly matters in a man -- and it's huge!
Dusty: I'd like to see that.
      Male lifeguard: Me too!

  • NOTES (3)

    • An attraction at the amusement park is "It's a Third World" -- a spoof of "It's a Small World (After All)" with animatronic children singing in sweatshops.
