Goof: When Marissa gets up from talking to Ryan about the bonfire at lunch, she sits her bag on her shoulder then from another angle she sits her bag on her shoulder again when she never took it off the first time.
Goof: The 33.36 point of the show shows Marrisa turning around from Ryan to go but at 33.37 point she is still looking at Ryan.
Goof: When Ryan, Marissa, and Summer are sitting at the table for lunch, the camera pans back and forth betwen the three of them. When Marissa says "You'll do it?" Ryan's back is off the chair, but then the camera pans over to Ryan, he is sitting with his back on the chair. Then the camera goes to show the whole group and he's off the chair again.
Goof: When we first see Ryan and Seth walking in school, Ryan's left sleeve is much lower than it is when they walk down the stairs and you don't see him adjust it
Goof: After Marissa asks Ryan to help with the bonfire, and he agrees, Marissa is about to put a piece of food in her mouth with her right hand. The camera cuts away to show Seth, and Marissa now has a bottle of water in her right hand.
Goof: When Ryan goes to Marissa's house to work on the bonfire, he has a bag with Captain Oats in it. When he leaves, he isn't carrying anything. But the next morning, he gives Captain Oats back to Seth.
Goof: When Summer is sitting on her bed braiding Marissa's hair, in one shot Summer is almost done braiding and then in the next shot she's in the middle of a next braid.
Goof: When Ryan and Seth are sitting on the couch in the family room, the orange pillow is between Ryan and Seth from some camera angles, and on the other side of Ryan from other camera angles.
Alex: If you go to the bonfire--it's on!
Ryan: Fine, this sort of thing used to be my specialty. Word of advice, if you have to work this hard, it's not working.
Carter: It's just a little thing I like to call my wedding anniversary.
Kirsten: You're divorced.
Carter: No wonder this party sucks.
Julie: (about her porn tape) It was the 80s. I was young, I had no money, and...it was the 80s.
Seth: Well, Coop, I think I got...
Marissa: First of all, only Summer calls me Coop.
Seth: Yeah, but I figured, we're back together now, and, you know, A equals C and B equals C, then A equals B. You know what I'm sayin'.
Marissa: No, I really don't.
Seth: I gotta say, this year, not as good as last.
Ryan: You think?
Seth: I do. I mean, look, we all tried some new things, and that was fun. Yard guys, illegitimate daughters, less fighting, more live music...
Ryan: Well, I think you remember last year as better because it was all new.
Seth: So you think I've sentimentalized the past all out of proportion?
Ryan: Yeah, come on. We can't keep living in last year.
Seth: Sure we can.
Marissa: Hey. I thought you weren't coming.
Ryan: Captain Oats was rather concerned that he wouldn't be represented.
Ryan: It's not about me, I'm here because of her mom.
Alex: What are you and Julie Cooper a team, now?
Ryan: I'm not going to the bonfire.
Julie: But you have go to the bonfire.
Ryan: What, are you and Seth working on the same team now?
Ryan: Live in the now, Seth.
Seth: I'm sorry. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Seth: I gotta say, last year? Better than this year.
Ryan: Maybe it's because last year was new.
Marissa: Hello, Mother. No I'm not coming home, okay, bye.
Alex: I need your advice, it's about Marissa.
Seth: Oh Okay, Well, I'm a little fuzzy on your guys' relationship, so perhaps you have some photos, or video, or things you ...
(At the bonfire)
Seth: Hey, I think Captain Oats would be very proud... or deeply disturbed by this visual.
Summer (to Seth) : We have a four alarm fire. Break out your hose Cohen. (Seth looks down...)
Summer : That was a metaphor.
Sandy: Julie, you scared me. More than usual.
Julie: Always a pleasure, Sanford.
Sandy: Only Caleb gets to call me Sanford because he won't not.
Seth (about Ryan): That guy worked an entire summer in construction. And also he enjoys architecture and burning stuff down.
Alex (to Marissa at the pep rally): I think....that this is your life, and I don't fit in.
Summer(talking to Marissa): You can't ride two horses with one ass...(Marissa looks at her)...It's a proverb.
Julie (after Marissa hangs up on her): She's such a little me!
Julie: I am so screwed.
Sandy: I know, I saw the footage.
Seth (to Captain Oats): Oats? Now, Ryan is going to use you as an inspiration. Now, if he touches you any place weird ... and by weird, I mean (whispers), I want you to neigh as loud as you can.
Kirsten: He (Carter)wants to take it beyond gossip and dish. Focus on culture, the local art scene.
Sandy: So it's really more of a pamphlet than a magazine.
Carter: This magazine is about 55 year-old women with 25 year-old breasts.
Seth's discusion with Ryan about last year being better than this year is in reference to many fans who felt season 2 wasn't as good as season 1.
