  • Just when I thought Ryan was going to leave his life in Chino behind, he decides to come to everyone's rescue and tries doing something about it.

    8.5
Ryan always seems to like to stick his nose in people's business, especially in Theresa's business. And this is after I thought him and Eddie were going to be cool from now on. The good thing though is that despite his "I want to help everyone" mindset, he did learn in the end that violence isn't the answer to everything. Though Ryan's problems haven't been the most entertaining lately. As always it is Seth and his "saying the wrong thing at the wrong time" gag that gives the episode life. Him trying way too hard to impress Summer's dad was embarrassing, but it was also just funny that you think to yourself Oh my God Seth, shut up and don't say anything!moreless
  • Sometimes what we think, isn't always what is.

    9.3
Everyone still shocked about Caleb’s proposal to Julie and Sandy gets a call from Theresa who needs some “legal advice”. Julie names Kirsten her maid of honour, and Summer arranges for her father to meet Seth. Seth meets Summer’s father, and Ryan bumps into Teresa who has a black eye from Eddy. This to me seemed a bit odd, I could have sworn that Teresa said something about Sandy not wanting to tell Ryan, but when she talked to Sandy, she told him not to tell Ryan. Also, the whole Seth meeting Summer’s father went pretty bad from my view, it was pretty embarrassing to watch as he blabbed on. Ryan goes after Eddy, not listening to anyone who tells him not to, but along the way he decides to go talk to Teresa instead. I was really glad that Ryan decided to not go after all, he would have ended up making more problems then he would have solved. Summer was really effected by Seth’s meeting with her dad, and Ryan talks Teresa into staying with him and the Cohen’s. I found it a bit shocking when I first saw Teresa was hurt by Eddy, he seemed nice, but I guess coming from Chino, not all is as it looks. What shocked me more though was the fact that Teresa actually decided to stay with the Cohen’s, I thought she would have found a job and stayed in a motel like before. I just hope Summer doesn’t break up with Seth because of her father, that would be pretty hard for Seth to take.moreless

Everyone is still reacting to the surprise engagement of Julie and Caleb. Kirsten is shocked, and a little burdened to find she's been asked to be Julie's Maid of Honor. Kirsten and Marissa end up in charge of throwing Julie's wedding shower, and Marissa invites an unwanted guest: Julie's estranged sister whom does not approve of her upcoming wedding whom she suspects that it's purely for money. Meanwhile, Theresa calls Sandy for help when she runs away from Chino and tries to avoid Ryan. Jimmy and Hailey continue their romance, and Seth awkwardly meets Summer's father. But Seth's lack of social skills make Dr. Roberts disapprove of him.

  • Ryan and Marissas relationship start to come together and Teressa shows up, Seth has lunch with Summer and her dad and doesnt go as planed and Aunt Cindy decides to "burn" Julie at her shower.moreless

Why is it that every time Theresa shows up, there’s trouble?? Ryan and Marissa’s relationship was just starting to come together again and she showed up and it seemed that it’s going backwards instead of forwards.

What’s the deal with Summer? She seemed to be embarrassed by Seth. Why did she ignore Seth at the end? Actually, I could understand that, but instead of running, she could have talked to him about the lunch that she, Seth and Summers dad had.

I thought it was hilarious that Marissa invited Aunt Cindy to Julies shower just to get her back, and the humiliation that Julie suffered at the shower was very funny.

I think that Kristen should be happy for Jimmy and Hailey because they deserve to be happy. Just because Kristen and Jimmy dated for some years, she shouldn’t have to Jimmy that Hailey was only using him.

Over all, it was a great episode.

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • Goof: In this episode Marissa states that Julie doesn't ever talk to her parents, but in a previous episode Jimmy says Julie is at her mother's house with Kaitlin.

    • In this episode Julie talks about caterers not wanting to serve meat, because of mad cow, but in the episode the Outsider, Jimmy says he lives with vegetarians, so why would she be wanting beef served at the wedding.

    • Goof: The size of the Cohen's house, and they don't have more than one extra spare bedroom for Theresa to sleep in? Or for Ryan to sleep in while she's in the pool house? In addition, when Kirsten's sister was staying there, Kirsten said she'd make up the guest room for Hailey to stay in. Ryan or Theresa could have stayed there.

    • Goof: When Seth and Summer are kissing on the couch at the school, Summer is kissing his top lip but as camera changes angles, she is kissing his bottom lip. Or vise-versa.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Cindy: Says that Julie loved Def Leppard when she was youngThis "secret" from Julie fits quite well with the idea of her past.

Considered by many the definitive hard-rock band of the 80s, Def Leppard was one of the leaders of the British New Wave Of Heavy Metal back in that decade, and one of the very first bands to make commercial use of the MTV videoclip. Their music had some trademarks, like catchy, fuzzy, Led Zeppelin-like riffs, a focus on melody, several vocal tracks (mainly on the songs' choruses), and lyrics mainly about sex and women. The band's sound came in an era where synthetizers and pop had taken most of the airwaves, and became a massive success in the U.S. by the mid-eighties. After the release of albums like "Pyromania" (1983) and "Hysteria" (1987) (both albums became a huge hit album in the U.S.), the band was struck by several personal tragedies at the beggining of the 90s, but survived all of that, although they never reached the success they had achieved in the previous decade.
