Beau Buffingham: (giving orders over the phone) I'd like to do something that's more important, more significant. What about nude astronauts? No, better yet -- now this is beautiful, listen to this -- nude astronettes.
Felix: This is Beau Buffingham, the editor of Harem magazine.
Oscar: Hey, I am glad to meet you. I read your magazine all the time. Even the articles.
When this episode first aired on ABC, Tony Randall and Jack Klugman did a voiceover during the closing credits asking viewers if they preferred the show without the canned laugh track and, if they did, to write to the network about it.
John Astin, who played Bo Buffingham, had already established himself in television history by playing Gomez Addams in "The Addams Family". He was married to Patty Duke from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. Oscar's editor at the newspaper is played by Ed Platt, who played the Chief on "Get Smart".
This episode aired without a laugh track frequently, but not always, in syndication. It is the only one from the first season (which was not shot in front of a studio audience) to do so.
