this was a very special "odd couple" episode. Felix dates a woman who he thinks is a librarian, but turns out, she plays an actress in a nude play in New York. I imagine that at the time this must have caused quite a stir with Network censors. Although it's all done quite tastefully, we can't help but keep in mind what the subject matter is.

Of course the Poker buddies and Murray in his clueless way help bring a sort of more adult comedy, to what could have been a campy show about accepting people's choices and ways of life, and thanks to them, it was there, but it was toned down quite a bit. If the show was more popular, it would have surely try to be more careful within some of its content, but as it wasn't it was permited to make a show like this from time to time, without it being presented to the viewer as "one more wonderful lesson on the way people should behave, told by us, the TV people."moreless
