The office has two new faces, Clark and Pete. When Clark gets the nickname "the New Dwight" and Peter becomes "the New Jim," it causes existential crises on the part of both Dwight and Jim. The two older workers have to figure out their future plans at the Scranton branch.
Pam accidentally brings lice into the office and lets Meredith take the fall, while Dwight vows to destroy the parasites. Meanwhile, Jim has a fantastic day in Philly wooing a potential business associate. Meanwhile, Phyllis, Nellie and Kevin meddle in Darryl's love life.
Dwight gives the Scranton branch workers free family portraits. Robert gets a great new opportunity. Andy poses as a janitor in his attempt to rejoin Dunder Mifflin.
Kevin pursues a unique solution in an effort to pay back his looming gambling debts. The episodes are:
"Money Trouble"-July 10, 2008: Kevin tries to find out from Oscar if a loan from the bank actually needs to be used for what the claim says.
"Malone's Cones"-July 17, 2008: Kevin meets with a bank person to try and get a loan, but the man doesn't really believe Kevin.
"Exposed Wires"-July 24, 2008: Darryl catches Kevin faking a payment to someone and agrees to help him get the loan.
"Taste the Ice Cream"-July 31, 2008: Darryl and Kevin go to the bank and try and get the loan by having the woman taste the ice cream.
Dwight and Angela compete in an office-wide paper airplane contest where the winner gets a prize. A talent agent named Carla Fern helps Andy with his first acting role. Jim and Pam's new couples counseling skills are unleashed.
Dwight and Andy believe an insurance saleman calling on Michael is a Mafioso. Kevin inadvertently ruins Jim and Pam's honeymoon.
Dwight starts a doomsday device that counts down employees' mistakes, with them all getting fired if it reaches zero. Gabe takes a liking to a warehouse employee.
Todd is ready to stop being a travelling salesman and wants to take a desk job in Scranton. Andy deals with a glitchy computer and Pam's hesitance to get him a new one.
Cecelia's christening is overcrowded due to Michael's inviting the entire office staff.
Jim and Pam get a surprising invitation to Roy's wedding only to discover that a lot has changed with Roy. Meanwhile, back at the office, Andy and Erin prepare for a Dwight Jr's audition and someone tries to interfere.
Andy makes a huge mistake when he shows up at a fundraising auction for Robert Lipton. Nellie needs Darryl to show her how a taco is eaten.
When Sabre CEO Jo Bennett returns to Scranton to get to the bottom of who told the press about their printers catching on fire, suspicion falls on Andy.
Pam wants Dwight to help get Jim to admit he thinks her maternity leave replacement is pretty. Meanwhile, Robert joins Kevin, Andy, and Darryl's band.
Michael and Pam take a trip to Nashua, hoping to get closure from Holly. Dwight and Jim try to make up for forgetting Kelly's birthday. Angela deals with her cats in a feline manner herself.
Jo visits the Scranton branch to get an update and weigh in on the search committee's progress, while the staff all voice their opinions on who should become the manager. Oscar is torn whether to tell Angela his suspicion that Robert is gay.
Someone vandalizes Pam's warehouse mural. Distraught, she seeks the help of Dwight and Nellie, who both eagerly help her track down the vandal. Meanwhile, in their Philadelphia apartment, Darryl is uncomfortable with Jim's uncleanliness. Angela begrudgingly allows Oscar and Kevin to attend her son Phillip's first birthday party.
Andy returns to Scranton to find his manager's position usurped by Nellie. Kelly is surprised to learn she finds another man to be more perfect than Ryan.
Michael has trouble adjusting to Dunder Mifflin's acquisition by a printer company called Sabre and tries to turn to David Wallace for advice. Jim and Pam interview to get their impending baby into a good daycare.
The warehouse workers quit after winning the lottery, leaving the upstairs staff to dream of winning big while searching for new employees and temporarily taking on the warehouse jobs themselves.
After inviting his former college a cappella group, Here Comes Treble, to perform for the office during Halloween, Andy gets angry when he hears that his college friend Broccoli Rob is telling a different story about the group. Dwight tries to track down a madman in the office; Jim and Pam fight over his new job.moreless
The arrival of Michael's replacement for training has the staff lining up to curry favor with their new boss, with Andy trapped in the role of 'office funny guy' and Jim and Pam worrying they're too obvious in their fawning.
The office pairs into couples so that they may all be able to take advantage of a Valentine's Day discount at a mini-mall. After Andy returns from his boat trip, Erin decides that she is going to break up with him so that she can be with Pete, but Pete begins to doubt her. "The Call"-November 20, 2008: After the outburst on the phone Andy says he'll pay $100 to whoever finds out who he was talking to. Oscar receives a call from the person who he yelled at and leaves the area where everyone is spying.
"The Investigation"-November 26, 2008: Kevin, Andy, Creed and Phyllis all try and get Oscar to tell them who he was yelling at on the phone.
"The Search"-December 4, 2008: Some of the staffers look through Oscar's personal items to see if they can figure out the mystery.
"The Explanation"- December 11, 2008: Oscar finally reveals who he yelled at, and the staffers are not too pleased.
Andy hopes to inspire the staff by taking them on a trip to Gettysburg. Meanwhile, those who stay behind in Scranton are prodded by Robert to come up with great ideas for the company.
Oscar attends the funeral of Dwight's Aunt Shirley at Schrute Farms. Dwight's sister Fannie and brother Jeb also attend and Shirley stipulates in her will that they are set to inherit her farm only if they choose to live and work it themselves. Todd Packer returns to the office to make amends as part of an alcoholic and narcotics recovery process but instead hands out cupcakes laced with laxatives and drugs.moreless
Seeing that Sabre's policy of putting salespeople first has gone to the sales staffs' heads, Michael makes them jump through hoops to get access to a new set of leads sent from corporate. Creed blackmails various members of the office. The episodes are:
"Oscar"-May 7, 2009: Oscar receives a video from Creed stating he has a secret about Oscar and will reveal it if he doesn't pay him money and Oscar asks Creed what the secret is.
"Andy"-May 14, 2009: In order to save himself from being blackmailed Andy reveals what his secret is to The Office. Creed overhears someone else's secret.
"Kelly"-May 21, 2009: Kelly gets out of being blackmailed by giving Creed dirt on the other staffers.
"Pay Day"-May 28, 2009: The staffers who are being blackmailed by Creed come together and find dirt on him, and try to blackmail him instead.
Erin desperately tries to create the exact Halloween party that Robert and Andy envision. Meanwhile, Jim is aghast to discover Pam believes in ghosts, and Dwight and Robert's son strike up a friendship.
Deangelo creates an inner circle for his favorite employees, and the women notice it seems to be all guys.
Andy takes a road trip to reclaim Erin, affording Nellie an oppurtunity to take a run at his manager's position in Scranton.
Erin wants to make a career change and finds herself a mentor in Angela. The episodes are:
"The Pupil"-March 4, 2010: Erin decides she wants to become an accountant and Angela agrees to take her under her wing, and makes Erin look and act just like her.
"Reimbursements"-March 4, 2010: Erin is finding it hard to be as tough as Angela as she hands out reimbursement checks.
"Lunchtime"-March 4, 2010: Kelly and Ryan invite Erin out to lunch but Angela says there is important work to be done. Kelly and Angela fight over Erin.
"BFFs?"-March 4, 2010: Kelly tries and convince Erin to be her BFF. Erin decides to stop being mentored by Angela and Kevin takes over. Ryan is thinking about getting a threesome between, him, Kelly and Erin.
Kelly and Erin form their own girl group, Subtle Sexuality, and get Ryan and Andy to assist them with their first music video, "Male Prima Donna". The episodes are:
"Creative Differences"-October 29, 2009: With most of the staff away at a convention, Erin and Kelly, who have recently formed a girl's group, decide to shoot their first music video, and Ryan agrees to help, but doesn't like how things go.
"The Replacement"-October 29, 2009: After Ryan quits the shoot, Kevin says he'd like to join, but Kelly and Erin are a bit skeptic. They see Andy singing, and decide to ask him to join, and Ryan gets jealous when he finds out he's been replaced.
"The Music Video"-October 29, 2009: Andy edits the video and then they premiere it. Ryan winds up being in it.
Michael is flummoxed when Jo takes a liking to Darryl and his new shipping idea. Dwight proves to be agitating when Jim returns from paternity leave. Andy and Erin have their first date planned. When Jo stays late working, everyone else feels they have to, too.
When the prospective buyer of Dunder Mifflin sends a banker to the Scranton branch to do due diligence, it sets off a wave of reminiscing about the various events the employees have been involved in.
Ryan attempts to make a horror film titled The 3rd Floor using Dunder Mifflin as a location, and staffers as actors. The episodes are:
"Moving On"-October 28, 2010: Kelly and Erin's group, Subtle Sexuality, are struggling to be famous and are looking for other ways. Ryan wants to make a horror movie but gets turned down. Kelly suggests he use the office, and the staff.
"Lights. Camera. Action!"-October 28, 2010: Ryan starts filming his movie but gets in trouble when he scares the staff to get real reactions. Ryan enlists Gabe's help on the film.
"The Final Product"-October 28, 2010: The trailer for the movie is shown: A woman (played by Meredith) puts a curse on the Third Floor after she is denied help by Kelly. Erin plays the part of all the serial killers put together and goes on a killing spree.
Gabe attempts to record a podcast in the office about the Sabre website, hoping to impress corporate. The episode are:
"Gabe's Podcast"-January 20, 2011: After finding out Oscar has a blog on the Sabre website Gabe decides to make a podcast, and tries to find staffers who would be interested in helping.
"The First Entry"-January 20, 2011: A bunch of the staff agree to do the podcast, and Gabe holds a meeting.
"The Debut"-January 20, 2011: Gabe tries to make a simple podcast relating to business, but typical antics of the office makes it a disaster.
The series focuses on Kelly and Erin's girl group called Subtle Sexuality. The episodes are:
"The Story of Subtle Sexuality"-May 4, 2011: A behind-the-scenes documentary chronicling the history of Subtle Sexuality, and introduces their newest single.
"Girl Next Door"-May 4, 2011:The music video for "Girl Next Door"-Ryan plays a jock who falls for Kelly, playing a rich girl, while Kelly is a poor girl, and wishes she could have Ryan.
