Company Picnic Summary - Season Finale (its really happening ):
It's the annual Dunder Mifflin company picnic and Michael and Holly are reunited, and Michael has some big plans for her. Meanwhile, the office competes in the picnic's volleyball tournament.

Amy Ryan and Idris Elba are both in this episode.

Totally looking forward to Amy's return!

I like how NBC used some misdirection in their advanced episode summaries, to keep us thinking the MSPC would stick around. The "Casual Friday" summary says "Michael has to mediate a dispute within his new sales team," which easily could've been about the Pam/Ryan combo at MSPC but is now actually the DM team with Pam and Ryan added in. And the "Cafe Disco" summary originally stated "Michael enters the cafe-disco business," making us think he wasn't back with DM. But now they've changed it to say "Michael gets into the cafe-disco scene" instead, implying that it's just Michael's latest social obsession and not a business venture. Nice.

Yes Company Picnic is the finale.

Depending on how you count hour long episodes (as 2 episodes or one), but basically, there's around 26.

    JK - Letterman - June 2nd.

I'm guessing its AWG related. And I am also guessing I can already tell you the entire interview. Because I am pathetic like that (I swear, I really do have a life outside of TO. Well, kind of)

I've revised the Season 6 premiere prediction. Nielsen has confirmed that the fall rating season will "officially" begin on 9/21, so the networks are generally expected to stick to that in setting premiere dates. NBC has not yet announced its premiere dates, but I think 9/24 is now a pretty safe bet. I had originally projected 9/17 or 9/24, but at this point I think 9/17 is pretty unlikely. So mark your calendars!

Also added 4 pretty significant dates of interest...

July 16: Nominations for the Emmy Awards will be announced at 5:35 AM PT (8:35 AM ET).

August 10: The 2009 Teen Choice Awards will air at 8 PM ET on FOX. "The Office" is nominated for Choice TV Comedy, and both Steve Carell and Jenna Fischer are nominated in the Choice TV Comedy acting categories.

September 8: Official release date for "The Office" Season 5 DVD. See OfficeTally for details - including links for pre-ordering (DVD or Blu-Ray) on Amazon, which offers free shipping within the US and a price-match guarantee.

September 13: The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards will air at 8 PM ET on CBS.

It's official - Season 6 begins September 17, a week earlier than expected.

Also, the October 8 episode will be a full hour.

Which will be the wedding (come on, it SO will be). Written by Mindy and Greg. Although really, I think I would prefer someone other than Mindy. She's very hit (Dundies) or miss (most everything else). Paul/Jen would be great. Gene/Lee... ah... debates.

Also, at some point there will be yet ANOTHER set of webisodes, directed by Mindy.
