Ok I seen the Oprah's Favorite things, which only Katrina helpers got a seat for. I have a few questions:

1.Overall how much did Oprah spend?

2.When they gave out the women prozes what did the men get?

3.Did the people get their prizes over the mail? possibly much more?

I only saw the opening few minutes when they were handing out diamond watches, those nice coats ($650) and purses (another $650). It didn't look like they brought enough for everyone during the broadcast or bothered to guess sizes, so I can only assume they had the right amount afterwards. It'd be really bad if they tried to mail them. No idea what the men got, but IMO if a man is on Oprah he'd be going with a woman.

There's a list posted on her web site:
    http://www.oprah.com/presents/2005/holiday/gifts/gifts_oft_print.jhtml

Suggested retail value adds up to $6,625 (including my estimate of $1,500 for the Teslar watch which didn't have a price listed).

P.S. This may go without saying but Oprah probably didn't pay anything for the stuff...I'm sure the companies donated it for all the exposure they get. There have been so many articles lately about "The Oprah Effect" -- how having your product on her show translates into huge sales.

Have to admit that I've read most of the books that she recommends. And they've been really good.

Keep in mind that she has a lot of help from her sponsors and is not shelling out $6000 a person... I love all of her favorite things and wish I could afford them all!! This site gives links to all of them to buy them on amazon and to read about her "Pay it forward" challenge of 2006. http://www.oprahsfavoritethings2006.com
