Fantastic fast paced finale, 'on the edge of your seat' stuff all the way! Superb acting from all the cast. Great teaser for next season where we're left wondering when Michael will be released to wreak havoc on Klaus.
  • Joseph Morgan.....

This was a really emotional episode. I was actually happy that I read the major plotpoints online before I watched this episode, because I don't think I could have enjoyed it otherwise. I just like to know the bad things that happen so I can prepare myself in advance.

I think the best performance was from Joseph Morgan as Klaus, as he really showed a wide range of emotions here ( anger, grief, remorse, love to mention but a few). Most of all I liked him with his daughter. He got all soft, fatherly and protective and I really think he would have made a good father in other circumstances. But here he makes a big sacrifice and gives up his daughter to give her a good life. For once in his life he doesn't think about himself, but about another person first. I really had tears in my eyes in the goodbye scene. He actually had some selfinsight and saw that he messed up his future with his child because of all his bad decision in the past. If he will learn from that and change is another question.

A lot of the cast got killed off in this episode, so we will have some new players in the next season. First of all Michael ( why oh why did you have to bring him back Davina, at least she was smart enough to put him on a "leash"). The new werewolves will probably be big players. And there were these two mysterious people at Ester's grave, who will certainly be important.

Marcel did another backflip and is with Klaus again. I hope he will have decided now for certain which side he is on.

I don't quite understand the transformation of Haley into a hybrid. Ok, so she had her baby's blood in her when she died ( really shocking scene, I was happy I read about this before), but I remember Klaus needing Elena's blood to make more hybrids in the VD, so why did Haley only need a drop of her daughter's blood for a successful transformation?moreless
  • Outstanding Season Finale.

Lets not give away too many secrets for some people who haven't seen it yet, but i really want Francesca to pay for what she has done and i really want her to suffer. Fantastic surprise at the end, which i never saw coming. This show is just Brilliant from the first episode to the season finale, i will be back for season 2. Fantastic CW Network.

    • At the end of the episode Hayley uses her babies blood to finish her transition into a hybrid, however on The Vampire Diaries it was revealed that only Elena's human blood could complete Klaus' hybrid's transitions as shown when he turned Tyler.
