  • This show just keeps getting better and BETTER

This show just keeps getting better and BETTER, it's great to see Elijah back to how he was when he first came to Mystic falls. Klaus is also back to his old self. We'd been waiting for the Orginals to show they were no pushovers and this is it. Now Marcel has Hailey, all hell is gonna to break loose!
  • I can't really put my finger on this episode...

    1) The opening scene was funny but it quickly turned awkward. It seems that Klaus captured a lady and he brought her to Elijah for dinner as a "peace offering". Is really Klaus so unaware of his brother's status? And what kind of peace offering is that? Like Elijah is physically incapable of hunting... On top of that, Elijah was indifferent when his brother killed the woman, despite it was a completely needless slaughter. I understand that the show is trying to be more mature and picture that all vampires, more or less, are seeing humans as sustenance and I really applause this try since my favorite vamp show is one that is x100 times more violent than THE ORIGINALS will ever be but that was really cheap and contradicts with Elijah's principles. I get that the show (originating from TVD) is new to this effort but they really need to get better at this. As for Hayley, she was super cool when Rebekah was dragging the corpse out of the house. She was like "Ah, my husband had his breakfast, how goodie!". All I know is that-> Shall Klaus get his kingdom back, New Orleans will need many new cemeteries...

    2) I haven't realized how Davina's spell on the knot unlinked Hayley and Sophie. Elijah said that this knot is used for representational magic but how the knot explicitly represented the link between Hayley and Sophie? Shouldn't Elijah get one drop of blood or some hair from Hayley and Sophie to put on each side of the rope? Surely Davina was used, though.

    3) It is a bit unpleasant that the priest was able to find Agnes easily plus the fact that she was still carrying the cursed object.

    4) Davina's timing was extra-convenient. In fact, I was really hoping that Davina won't make it in time, making Hayley to abort. I hate the baby plot, especially after it was revealed that the baby won't be a werewolf but some freaky hybrid and as long as the show is keeping it low I am not complaining. But I have every right to hope that something will go wrong till the end of the season. This child will be a true abomination. It must be a triple hybrid between human, werewolf and vampire. If it's double hybrid I don't think it will age since Klaus doesn't.

    5) I am officially worried about Elijah's character development. The writers are randomly manipulating his character to meet the needs of each episode. Elijah should be the constant, the uncompromising leading figure of the Original family. He was introduced to us as the intimidating badass Original with a plan for vengeance. Then he showed us a softer side but he was still mad with Klaus. Then, he is trying to redeem him and now he is indifferent again about the actions of his frenzy lunatic brother. We've already seen him falling in love with Kathrine twice and now with the woman who carries his brother's child. That is another cliche that shakes his leading figure and now Klaus seems to be aware of that. Moreover, it's Kathrine all over again. Klaus needs a woman for some purpose (Kathrine to break his curse, Hayley to deliver him his heir) and Elijah is falling in love with both of them. It's repetitive.

    6) Dear, Elijah now has a new signature finishing move. He rips your heart (old signature move) AND then tosses your (literally) heartless corpse in the skies. Nice showoff and finally some violence from the Original we first met and feared.

    7) I loved that Marcel is finally brainstorming and found the Originals' lair and abducted Hayley. However, I can't really understand what he knows about her and how he is planning to use her.

    8) Cami was priceless but destroyed a good chem. After Karoline, Cami could calm down a bit the bastard beast that Klaus is.

    9) Now that the last witch elder is dead, it is uncertain if Sophie will be able to complete the Harvest. That makes the plot much more interesting.

    10) Agnes' acting was bad and so was Hayley's...moreless
  • Race Against The Clock!

Wow this episode was pretty awesome!

I loved how we learned how ruthless the witches could be, I felt really bad for Hayley in this episode that girl is always in danger it seems, now she's disappeared where did she go? I have a feeling that it has something to do with that mysterious wolf that's been protecting her! I cannot wait to find out by next week

This episode also showed Klaus and Elijah being back on the same wavelength those two make a incredible diabolical dynamic duo and I loved every second of it!

I also felt pretty bad for Cami in this week she just seemed so hollow and lost.

I really liked Father Kieran standing up to Klaus and not being intimidated by him he's got guts I'll give him that!

I am super excited to see more of the scenes between Davina and Elijah those two interactions is pretty great!

I also enjoyed Rebekah's 'interaction' with Marcel very hot!

I hope Rebekah isn't gone for a long time her presence is so awesome!

Elijah and Rebekah's good-bye was very heartwarming.

This was another stellar episode for the Originals & I am really excited for next week!moreless

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Kieran: (calls out, holding the dark object) I believe this is what you're looking for.
(Klaus appears, now holding the dark object)
      Klaus: Hello, Agnes.
Agnes: You made a deal with him?
Kieran: After what you did to Sean, I'd deal with the Devil himself just to see you suffer.

    • Rebekah: Why are you here?
Marcel: Just keeping my city safe from thieves and vandals, but every time I turn around, I catch an Original with their hand in the cookie jar.
Rebekah: Well, luckily for you, your cookies are the last thing on my mind.

    • Klaus: (to Sabine) Allow me to entertain you with today's list of priorities. One, unlink your friend Sophie so she no longer controls the fate of the woman carrying my child. Two, convince my brother to accept my heartfelt apologies for some recently dodgy behavior. Three, there is no three.
Elijah: I believe what my brother's attempting to communicate here is that neither the life of this elder, nor the Harvest ritual, nor your coven's connection to magic are of any relevance to him whatsoever.

    • Camille: A guy I've been seeing, Marcel, has been blowing me off. Whatever. I've gone on two dates with the guy, and I'm more upset about that than seeing "murderer" scrawled across my brother's grave.
      Kieran: It's called healing, Cami.
Camille: For months after the massacre, I couldn't think of anything else, and then suddenly, nothing. I need to feel that pain. Without it, I feel broken, empty, like there's someone to blame and I'm letting them get away with it.

    • Elijah: Sophie brought us to this town under false pretenses. She doesn't just want us to take down Marcel and his minions, she wants to take Davina back. So, she yolked her own cause to ours, with magic threats and half-truths. Well, no more. As of now, our deal with Sophie Deveraux is null and void. Niklaus, I need you to come with me. I need 5 minutes alone with Davina. You need to make certain that I am not interrupted. (to Rebekah) You stay here and watch Hayley.
Rebekah: How did I get elected Supernanny?
Klaus: And more importantly, who put him in charge?

    • Elijah: So, back to the murderous witches. I have some concerns.
Hayley: They're evil, and my life is still magically linked to Sophie Deveraux, which is not comforting.
Elijah: Yes, I think it's time we took care of that little problem.
Rebekah: I am all for it. As soon as they're unlinked, we get to leave this crap town. Who do we have to kill?
Elijah: Probably no one. All right, potentially everyone.

    • Rebekah: My brothers and I are the first vampires in history, the Originals. Three hundred years ago, we called New Orleans home. Now, we've returned, drawn by a witch who seeks to use my brother Klaus' unborn child as leverage in a brewing war. But his quest for power has turned brother against brother, leaving our family more divided than ever. Now that Elijah has returned, can our family unite to face this new threat?
