I'm not sure why it became Girls vs Boys instead of Vampire's vs Witches, or even vampires vs vampires... I can assure the makers of this show if it takes that turn, they will lose the few male watchers they have. I'm all for self empowerment and equality, but shows like this get taken too literally. What I mean by that is, it amps women up and annoys men. It becomes too competitive for couples. Like most men who watch shows like this, it was introduced to me by my girlfriend. However if it starts down the path of looking more like a girly "Secret Circle" type show, it becomes far less interesting for us men. I don't mind a few women rules episodes, but if I wanted to watch a bunch of conniving passive aggressive women, i'd watch "Pretty Little Lairs". Before too many women take this as sexist, let's be honest... Women and men innately route for their own team. We are always in computation with each other. What man wants to sit and watch a show decided to women planning the downfall of men? The idea of vampires was a dark and morbid one, and it constantly gets turned into a sexually heated teen drama. If shows like this were a little less feministic, it would attract a wider range of viewers. In other words i'm not too excited with the current plot, but i'll watch and see how it all turns out.moreless

Wow this was a awesome mid-season premiere and well worth the wait!

I loved seeing Rebekah, Davina and Cami's girl-power moments in this episode

Watching what Davina did to Elijah Klaus & Marcel was pretty amazing that girl is getting cooler and cooler by the episode and I cannot wait to see what happens with her next!

While I loved all of the girl power moments Cami's was my top moment the way she told off Klaus was so incredible!

I felt really bad 4 Hayley that girl cannot seem to get it together and she seems so detached from everyone I hope she has her baby soon so she will be sorta interesting I mean I like her but right now she just seems annoying and she made a pretty awful decision in this episode that I didn't like at all!

All in all despite it's hiccups this girl centered mid-season premiere was fantastic I cannot wait 4 next week!moreless

    • Rebekah: It is said that this is a man's world. And sometimes it is. For every Casket Girl that was saved, countless others were not. But women are more resilient than given credit for. And some women, well, let's just say their oppressors had better watch out.

    • Rebekah: Used by the witches, lied to by Marcel, manipulated by Elijah, threatened by Klaus. She's like a modern-day Casket Girl.
Hayley: Are you talking about Davina or yourself?
Rebekah: Does it matter? Either way, us girls have got to stick together.

    • Rebekah: The Casket Girls' legend lives on. Now celebrated in typical New Orleans fashion...with stylish costumes and supernatural flair. It's a yearly reminder of how women can be oppressed by selfish men and how they can triumph when brave enough to fight for themselves.

    • Rebekah: For centuries, people have come to New Orleans looking for a fresh start, hoping to find fortune, adventure, even love. Young society women, imported from France with the promise of marrying a proper New Orleans gentleman. Like the legendary Casket Girls. Little did they know that the men who awaited them were far from proper, and not at all gentle.
